Baby of Mine
[unknown] Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Know where I be
In the deep blue sea
Where we go swimming
In the anemone

Eating pumpkin seed
Jumping in the leaves
Give you money
When I take your teeth

Baby UR mine, all the time
Whether rain or shine, gonna laugh or cry
Baby UR mine, all the time

I got no style
But I’d walk a mile
Keep you changing
Till you walk the aisle

I don’t wanna go
Old people’s home
Stay close to me
In the anemone

Baby UR mine, all the time
Whether rain or shine, gonna laugh or cry
Baby UR mine, all the time

Baby UR mine, all the time

Whether rain or shine, gonna laugh or cry
Baby UR mine, all the time

You know what makes this scene all the more heartbreaking?

If I’m not mistaken, Walt Disney himself took a very personal investment towards the development of this movie because not only did he lose his mother, he blamed himself for her death.

Before the incident, while he was newly rich on the rising success of his company, he had his staff build a nice house for his parents.

Unfortunately, there was a gas leak from the fireplace and both his parents were caught in it. I think the house caught on fire, they breathed the poison or both. Either way, his father barely made it, but his mother didn’t.

That accident destroyed Walt Disney.

Let that stew in your mind and take a second look at this Dumbo scene...

I'm a grown-ass man, turning 24, and upon watching this clip I came out of my room crying and sobbed into my mother's shoulder.
