Cosa Cuosa
Árbol Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Todo este tiempo
Consumiendo la leche
Todo este mar acariciándote la piel
El tiempo te llena
La cabeza de musgo
Y el agua que pasa
No te deja ver
Hoy sos un esqueleto
Que se ríe de lejos
Una estatua te enamora

Y no te deja mover
La sal te esta enroscando
Y se te traba la lengua
Y un montón de pescaditos
Se acostaron en tu lengua
Cosacuosa
Cabeza venenosa
Fucking cosa
Que no te la tosas
Como la triste fauna
Que se mece en la pecera

Como aquel viejo sordo
Que le da de comer
Al pobre lagarto
Se le seco la lengua
La anguila se destiñe
Y se reseca la ameba
En este laberinto
Quedaste mal parado
Se quemaron los puentes

Y quedaste del otro lado
Cosacuosa
Cabeza venenosa
Fucking cosa
Que no te la tosas
El agua te sirve
Como cama por la noche
Al algunos que hablaban
Le quemaron el coche
Igual vos sabes

Hay que andar precavido
Que al que vive de sueños
Se lo comen dormido
Igual vos sabes
Hay que andar precavido
Cosacuosa
Cabeza venenosa
Fucking cosa
Que no te la tosas

Igual vos sabes
Hay que andar precavido

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Arbol's song "Cosa Cuosa" talk about the passage of time and how it affects us. The first lines describe someone consuming milk and being caressed by the sea, but time fills their head with moss, and they are unable to see past the water that passes by. They become like a laughing skeleton, unable to move, with the salt coiling around their tongue and a bunch of little fish resting on it. "Cosacuosa" refers to this dark and poisonous thing that fills our body and mind, making it hard for us to move and think clearly.

The lyrics also mention an old man who, like the person in the song, has become trapped and unable to move. His tongue has dried up while he tries to feed a poor lizard. There is also talk of a maze in which the person has been left stranded, and the bridges have been burned. However, there is a warning about being cautious in life, especially for those who live in their dreams, or else they will be eaten while they sleep.

Overall the song is a meditation on the gradual decline and lapse of time, and how it affects the body and the mind. The mysterious "cosa cuosa" is a metaphor for the many fears and worries that can paralyze a person.
