Do you guys notice how the lead riff and bass seem to be playing the exact same riff that pulls the song forward, then curls around bonzo's crisp riffs? As that is happening, Plant's deft vocals dance between the beats and evades them like a jumprope. It is such a rhythmic and sonic delight, I cannot forget the dance.

I’ve lost all my original vinyl copies and those horrible 1st-generation CDs released in 1983 but it’s refreshing to know that Page is continually revisiting the original studio tapes and making remixes suitable for the 2020s. So I’m saving up for those as a present to myself.

That was one bass drum on Kashmir. He never used two bass drums. It just sounds like it with the reverb added and other studio effects. Similar to “When the Levy Breaks”
