Sorry Now
ÌðÃÛÉäÏß(Sugar Ray) Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I let you go, let you go, like a dozen balloons
Without even thinking
I didn't know, now I know, it was much too soon
It was much too soon
Why can't you call and say you miss me
The time we wasted just becomes history
Why can't you call and say you need me
The words I wanna hear deceive me

Who's sorry now (2 x)
Who's sorry
I know you're right
You're always right
So turn out the light
Who's sorry now

We'll never know, never know if all we had wasn't true
With me and you
Never really knew if right now was much too soon
It was much too soon
Why can't you call and say you miss me
The time we wasted just becomes history
Why can't you call and say you need me
The words you wanna hear deceive me

Who's sorry now (2 x)
Who's sorry
I know you're right
You're always right
So turn out the light

I wish she could tell me now
Where she has been
Where have you been?
Now that she's let me out
I only want back in
Why can't you call and say you need me
The time we wasted just becomes history
Why can't you call and say you miss me
The words you wanna hear deceive me
Deceive me ( 2x )
Who's sorry now (2 x)
Who's sorry
I know you're right
You're always right
So turn out the lights
Who's sorry now (2 x)

Who's sorry (4 x)
Who's sorry now.

Who's sorry now
Who's sorry now
Who's heart is aching for breaking each vow
Who's sad and blue
Who's crying too
Just like I cried over you

Right to the end
Just like a friend
I tried to warn you somehow
You had your way
Now you must pay
I'm glad that you're sorry now

Right to the end
Just like a friend
I tried to warn you somehow
You had your way
Now you must pay
I'm glad that you're sorry now

Voice of an angel. I was only 8 but my mom bought all her albums and I grew up listening to Connie's beautiful songs echoing through our house. <3

I love Ms. Connie's version of Who's Sorry Now. The emotional and subtleness of her singing pulls at your heart strings. She definitely deserves to be in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame

@jerryspianobar

The ONLY reason that I can think of is that, somehow, the people at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame might consider her more easy listening than rock & roll?? Shrug.

@larrybrown3910

There is all types of music in the Hall of Fame. The reason she and some other artists from the 50's & 60's like Robby Rydell etc are not in the Hall is due to the incompetence of the selectors.@@veganmusician

Ya got that right.

@revdianestark

Connie's styling of every note, every word, is the ultimate genius of her artistry.
