Šarlo Akrobata's roots are found in a band named Limunovo drvo, formed in the late 1970s by Milan Mladenović and Gagi Mihajlović. The duo laboured for two years in the melodic hard rock waters before realizing they were headed nowhere.
At the end of their creative wits they were joined by Dušan Kojić 'Koja' and Ivica Vdović 'Vd' which is when things began to change for the better, as they adopted a fresh sound, inspired by punk & new wave. Koja also brought along his friend Nenad Krasavac 'Kele' who became the band's unofficial manager.
The band often mentioned Zagreb's biennale '81 festival (that also included now legendary Gang of Four and Classix Nouveaux) as the exact moment Šarlo started existing in the form we all know. Šarlo's performance came on May 15, 1981, opening for the Gang of Four - the other opening act that night was Haustor.
Due to personal differences, they split as soon as October 1981. Milan and Vd played together later in Katarina II, and Koja formed Disciplina Kičme.

Ti si moja, ti si moja, ti si
Ona nema nikoga da joj kaže:
Ti si moja, ti si moja, ti si
Ljudi se čude:
Zar ona može da misli?
Ljudi se čude:
Zar ona sme da zna?
Ljudi su vrlo zlobni dok gledaju njene grudi
Ljudi su zlobni dok gledaju njen ten
Ona se budi
Ona se budi
Ona nema nikoga da joj kaže:
Ti si moja, ti si moja, ti si
Ona nema nikoga da joj kaže:
Ti si moja, ti si moja, ti si
The song "Ona se budi" by Šarlo Akrobata tells the story of a girl who is turning 18 in June and is uncertain about her future. She is worried about what to do after finishing her exams, and people around her are mocking her body and appearance. She is overwhelmed by the expectations that society places on her and is struggling with finding her place in the world. She wakes up every morning thinking about these things, and it seems that no one can offer her the guidance or support she needs.
The lyrics paint a picture of a young woman who is trying to navigate the challenging transition from adolescence to adulthood. She is bombarded with conflicting messages about what it means to be a woman, and she feels trapped by the narrow expectations placed on her. The references to dolls and skirts suggest that she is expected to adhere to traditional gender roles, while the comments about her body highlight the objectification and sexualization of young women in society.
Overall, the song captures the confusion and disorientation of youth, highlighting the pressure and scrutiny that young women face when trying to define themselves.

There were tons of bands, but there aren't always clear distinctions. Some bands also had pop, synthpop, darkwave, punk, EBM and even religious elements in their music. Some bands also had a new wave/post-punk early on, but quickly shifted gears towards a more poppy style or just jumped on the bandwagon.
That being said, here's a pretty long list from 5 former Yugoslav states (I guess Montenegro didn't have much of a new wave/post punk scene?) in no particular order:
Idoli
Azra
Haustor
Ekatarina Velika
Buldožer
Paraf
Pekinška Patka
Električni Orgazam
Pankrti
Dorian Gray
Bonton Baya
Sexa
Bastion
Pauk
Mizar
VIA Talas
Karlowy Vary
Scabia
Dobri Isak
Borghesia
Max & Intro
Boa
Padot na Vizantija
Pingvinovo Potpalublje
Animatori (to an extent)
Bijelo Dugme (jumped on the new wave bandwagon on albums between 1980 and 1983)
Denis & Denis (first album kinda, more electropop tho)
Film (early stuff)
Moni Kovačić (some songs here and there)
Piloti (first album only)
Prljavo Kazalište (early stuff, first few albums)
Valentino (first album only)
Van Gogh (first album only)
Zana (first album only)
There were a lot more artists in this scene, but this list is a decent starting point :)

@yahoosch
Pa jesu, snimili su jedan album poslije.
@DamirHictaler
@emilzatopek8241
@aloroki3350
@emilzatopek8241
