Before their official debut, they released four indies singles only available in Japan. They also sung the theme song for the Nintendo DS game "Densetsu no Stafi 4". ℃-ute's debut single "Sakura Chirari" (桜チラリ) was released February 21st 2007 and reached #5 on the Oricon weekly charts.

Yajima Maimi (矢島舞美, leader), Nakajima Saki (中島早貴), Suzuki Airi (鈴木愛理), Okai Chisato (岡井千聖), Hagiwara Mai (萩原舞).
Umeda Erika (梅田えりか) graduated on the last day of their concert tour on October 25, 2009.
Arihara Kanna (有原栞菜, added in January 2006) left the group on July 9, 2009.
Murakami Megumi (村上愛) left the group on November 3, 2006.

What suprises me about this song is that, it's a love song yet it has such a powerful instrumental. It's not that love songs have to be all cheery and sugary and girly... it's just that this song's lyrics are really soft that it's suprising that it's accompanied by this cool instrumental. It's a great song, I like it a lot. Mostly I like it because the instrumental is great, but the simple lyrics aren't bad. The choreography compliments perfectly this amazing song too, simply one of the best ºC-ute choreographies out there.
The outfits are pretty OK, maybe they could have gone for a cooler look but... they're nice. Maimi's outfit is ok, same goes for Mai and Saki's (except her boots, they're too ugly), however Kanna and Airi's are a little wintery (which doesn't match the other girls' outfits and it looks kinda... not really out of place but a little too different)... Erika's outfit is not bad but looks too office-like and again, it doesn't match the others (and it looks too similar to the next outfit they wear), Chisato's is so-so but it doesn't look so good on her (it's probably the hairstyle... that and that the coat is plain ugly). The tuxedos are cool but that leads to the next question:
First, why are they wearing those tuxedos? They don't have anything to do with the theme of the song/lyrics. Yes, they look good on them but... why tuxedos? Maybe it's because of the song is so cool the outfits had to be cool as well. As I said, it's not that it looks bad, it just puzzles me a little the fact that they're tuxedos because of the theme of the song... but oh well, they're great.
Now, onto the things I don't like about the video...
What are they supposed to be doing at the office-scenes? Watching themselves dancing? Why? What are they? I don't get it...
Also, they gave Chisato yet another terrible hairstyle for the close-up shots... I wonder why they loved doing that to Chisato when they were young? This time the hairstyle looks suited for an older woman not really for a young girl like Chisato, and even for an older woman it looks kida out-fashioned, I don't know, I think they should have gone for a different hairstyle; Kanna's hairstyle doesn't suit her either (the one from the close-up). And talking about close-ups, that faint color they put as the backround was the best they could do? It looks like they spent 5 minutes doing a gradient and then just recolored it six more times... it looks bad (and they did the same thing in Berryz Kobo's Ryuusei Boy, these people don't learn).
I have to say that I like this song a lot but the MV was terrible, I could do a prettier MV here at my house (and give Chisato and Kanna better hairstyles) and it's a little disappointing this is the best the creative team could do because the song had so much potential. What saves the MV from being totally ugly is the awesome choreography and the prettiness of Maimi and Erika (Mai, Airi and Saki look good too). This is one of those rare times I prefer the dance shot alone instead of a full MV...
