I'm losing sight
Don't count on me
I chase the sun
It chases me

You know my name
You know my face
You'd know my heart
If you knew my place
I'll walk straight down
As far as I can go

I'll follow you, you follow me
I don't know why you lie so clean
I'll break right through the irony

Enlighten me
Reveal my fate
Just cut these strings
That hold me safe

You know my head
You know my gaze
You'd know my heart
If you knew your place
I'll walk straight down
As far as I can go

I'll follow you, you follow me
I don't know why you lie so clean
I'll break right through the irony

Cure this wait
I, I hate this wait

I'll follow you, you follow me
I don't know why you lie so clean
I'll break right through the irony
I don't know why, I don't know why

I'll follow you, you follow me

I don't know why you lie so clean
I'll break right through the irony

Overall Meaning

The song "Follow" by Breaking Benjamin is an introspective piece about losing sight of oneself and blindly following others. The first verse describes a sense of aimlessness and being lost, with the singer chasing the sun and feeling uncertain about their path. They recognize that others may know their name and face, but they cannot truly understand their heart without knowing their place in the world. Despite this disconnect, the singer is determined to keep moving forward, walking straight down as far as they can go.

The chorus is a repetition of the title, "I'll follow you, you follow me," but with a sense of skepticism and questioning. The second verse shifts perspective to address the person being followed, with the singer urging them to enlighten and reveal their fate. The lines "Just cut these strings/That hold me safe" suggest a desire for liberation from the chains of conformity and the comfort of familiarity. The repetition of "I'll walk straight down" reinforces the determination to keep pushing forward, even in the face of uncertainty.

The bridge introduces a sense of frustration and impatience, with the singer pleading for a cure to their wait. The final repetition of the chorus takes on a more defiant tone, with the lines "I don't know why, I don't know why" implying a disillusionment with blind obedience and a desire to break free from the cycle of following and being followed.

Overall, "Follow" is a deeply personal and introspective song that explores the themes of identity, conformity, and liberation. The repeated chorus and simple yet powerful instrumentation give it a haunting and memorable quality.

"War Of Change"

It's a truth that in love and war
Worlds collide and hearts get broken
I want to live like I know I'm dying
Take up my cross, not be afraid

Is it true what they say, that words are weapons?
And if it is, then everybody best stop steppin'
'Cause I got ten in my pocket that'll bend your locket
I'm tired of all these rockers sayin' come with me

Wait, it's just about to break, it's more than I can take
Everything's about to change
I feel it in my veins, it's not going away
Everything's about to change

It creeps in like a thief in the night
Without a sign, without a warning
But we are ready and prepared to fight
Raise up your swords, don't be afraid

Is it true what they say, that words are weapons?
And if it is, then everybody best stop steppin'
Cause I got ten in my pocket that'll bend ya locket
I'm tired of all these rockers sayin' come with me

Wait, it's just about to break, it's more than I can take
Everything's about to change
I feel it in my veins, it's not going away
Everything's about to change

This is a warning, like it or not
I break down, like a record spinning
Gotta get up
So back off
This is a warning, like it or not
I'm tired of listenin', I'm warning you, don't try to get up
There's a war going on inside of me tonight (Don't be afraid)
There's a war going on inside of me tonight (Don't be afraid)

Wait, it's just about to break, it's more than I can take
Everything's about to change
I feel it in my veins, it's not going away
Everything's about to change
It's just about to break, it's more than I can take
Everything's about to change
I feel it in my veins, it's not going away
Everything's about to change

- Set it off добротный репкор.
- The art of breaking
- The flame in all of us хард-рок.
- Welcome to the masquerade
- The end is where we begin группа вернулась к ню-металу, тяжёлый альбом с крутыми песнями (War of change с этого альбома, рекомендую с него песню Down)

been letting time do it's thing and even though I didn't get better physically (actually got worse) or mentally at least my brain can now handle the shit I'm dealing with, hopefully soon I'll have a surgery to fix myself so I can finally go back to training and working out, plus I'll get a good 2-3 month vacation from the army which has been the main stress contribute.
