Boom
☆☆☆ System Of A Down ☆☆☆ Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I'm walking through your streets
Where all your money's earning
Where all your buildings crying
And clueless neckties working
Revolving fake lawn houses
Housing all your fears
Desensitized by T.V.
Overbearing advertising
God of consumers
And all your crooked pictures looking good
Mirrors filtering information through the public eye
Designed for profit sharing
Your neighbor, what a guy

Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom,
Every time you drop a bomb
You kill the god your child has born
Boom, Boom, Boom,

Modern globalization
Coupled with condemnations
Unnecessary death
Matador corporations
Puppeting your frustrations with a blinded flag
Manufacturing consent is the name of the game
The bottom line is money nobody gives a fuck

4000 hungry children
Leave us per hour from starvation
While billions are spent on bombs
Creating death showers

Boom, Boom, Boom,
Every time you drop a bomb
You kill the god your child has born

Boom, Boom, Boom,
Every time you drop a bomb
You kill the god your child has born

Boom, Boom, Boom,
Every time you drop a bomb
You kill the god your child has born

Why must we kill our own kind?

Boom, Boom, Boom,
Every time you drop a bomb
You kill the god your child has born

Boom, Boom, Boom,
Every time you drop a bomb
You kill the god your child has born

Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom
Every time you drop the bomb

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to "Boom" by System of a Down speak of the destructive impact of war, consumerism, and globalization on society. The opening lines set the scene for a world where everything is driven by money and the pursuit of profit, leading to a desensitized society that is overly influenced by television and advertising. The song goes on to criticize the military-industrial complex and the billions spent on weapons and war, while millions of people suffer from hunger and poverty. The chorus, "Boom, boom, boom, every time you drop a bomb, you kill the god your child has born," serves as a powerful indictment of the senselessness of war and the tragic impact that it has on innocent lives.

@hectora9860

Pizza is vegetarian though
It doesn’t have meat lol
Pizza is made from vegetables too.
Dough-wheat (plant)
Sauce-tomato (fruit)
Cheese-milk (dairy) vegans can’t eat pizza because of cheese but vegetarians can, vegans don’t eat dairy or eggs as well as meat
Also vegetarians can’t eat pepperoni pizza because it has pork on it.

Conclusion:
Vegetarians can eat pizza but not pepperoni pizza
Vegans can’t eat pizza at all

Vegetarians don’t only eat vegetables, they just don’t eat meat
Vegans don’t eat meat, dairy, or eggs

Pescatarians are vegetarians but the only meat they eat is fish
Just wanted to say that too.
Also “more better” is not grammatically correct

@amini112

@Paradoxic Plays games Shut up!
Thats pathetic to say really,
Because really,
Don’t we need food, water, and things to live?
Don’t tell me i’m wrong,but,
We need everything for life,
If you do this.
Its super dumb :T
Because everything we have is to live and enjoy our life,
Not to wast.
And when this happens,
This can lower our chances of living.
Like for example:
World hunger.
This can lower our percent of food.
So don’t act all “S Ma. rtTt”
Also,
Everything we make like food, toys for kids, things, electronics,
IT TAKES TIME 😃
It took so long for our people to come where we are right now..
its so annoying to see our things get wasted like its nothing,
BUT ITS ACTUALLY IMPORTANT :(
So shut the hell up,
And don;t act smart stupid-
