Crawl
♠ Breaking Benjamin Lyrics

I am nothing less
I am holding on
Still holding on
And every now and then
Life begins again
I am holding on
Still holding on
I'm not like you
Your faceless lies
Your weak, dead heart
Your black dead eyes
I'll make it through
But not this time
Your hope is gone
And so is mine
Live! Fight!
Crawl back inside!
Sick! Blind!
Love left behind
And I won't live your weak wicked lie
You pull me in
I'm one step behind
Show me where it hurts
And I will make it worse
Are you holding on?
Keep holding on
Dilated eyes
Shine for one last time
Are you holding on?
Keep holding on
You're not like me
Your faceless lies
Your weak, dead heart
Your black dead eyes
I'll break you in
And let this die
Your hope is gone
And so is mine
Live! Fight!
Crawl back inside!
Sick! Blind!
Love left behind
And I won't live your weak wicked lie
You pulled me in
I'm one step behind
I'm becoming a monster
Just like you
After it all
You'll try to break me too
Falling forever
Chasing dreams
I brought you to life
So I can hear you scream
Live! Fight!
Crawl back inside!
Sick! Blind!
Love left behind
And I won't live your weak wicked lie
You pulled me in
I'm one step behind
I'm one step behind
I'm one step behind
"Crawl" by Breaking Benjamin is a powerful and emotional tune that conveys a lot of inner turmoil and struggle. The song's lyrics revolve around two people who have gone through some tough times, and are finding it hard to move on. The lines "A shadow of a man I am nothing less / I am holding on, still holding on" express the singer's sense of being lost and feeling hopeless. The song's opening lines imply that the singer is someone who has lost everything, and is struggling to hold on to the last strands of hope they still have.
The song features a powerful and bass-heavy instrumental that creates a brooding and tense atmosphere that further adds to the lyrics' depth. There is also a bit of discord in the verses that contribute to the feeling of instability and uncertainty in the lyrics. The lines "I'm not like you / Your faceless lies / Your weak, dead heart / Your black dead eyes" contain some potent imagery and suggest that the persona is fighting against someone who is unfeeling and cruel.
The chorus emphasizes the emotion in the song, culminating in the lines "Live! Fight! Crawl back inside! / Sick! Blind! Love left behind / And I won't live your weak, wicked lie / You pulled me in, I'm one step behind" which talk about the persona's fight to escape the darkness and keep hope alive. The song's themes of inner conflict, pain, and struggle resonate with many, making it a powerful expression of the human condition.

I often have the telephone dream. It usually involves a rotary phone, but also, sometimes, a push button phone, and always a land line. In the dream, I find myself repeatedly trying to dial (or punch) a certain phone number, but I can never get it right. I keep dialing or punching, but can never complete it. I think that might fall into the first category in this video, of being trapped or lost. It's a form of it.
I often have dreams of being trapped (once it was on an escalator. I couldn't get off of it. It was going up.) I've also had dreams about driving somewhere and not being able to find the freeway on-ramp I need to take me where I need to go. Or, of being lost on some street in a large city.
All of these dreams leave me feeling frustrated and frightened. Like I can never quite achieve or accomplish what I wish to or need to.
Anyone else have the telephone dream I've described above? I've had that one numerous times. I always feel, in that one, that I need to urgently reach someone, to communicate, to convey a message, but I never can reach them. I always experience a sense of urgency in this dream.
Any insights?

The saddest dream is when you meet someone you fall in love with or someone you really like but then wake up just to find that they're not real

@@user-mu2to1pz6n it hurts a lot
@user-mu2to1pz6n
@@idek9628 yes it really does. Previously I dreamt about the man love me and care so much about me.We always together. And today I dreamt about he get back together with his ex and they marry together. He left me all alone and he never text neither call me ever again. It was really sad and hurting. I really sleep so long just waiting for him to come back to me but in the end he really doesn't come back. I just really really hope that what I dreamt all this time doesn't reflect what my future life would be. 😭😭

This type of dream has a very interesting basis in the reality of HOW people dream! Apparently, when we dream, the body is "paralyzed" from physically moving, which is a built-in way to prevent us from hurting ourselves while we are in the dream "state". This manifests itself in the feeling that you can not evade the thing chasing you within your dream, or that you are unable to run away more quickly, because you feel like you are struggling through what sometimes is described as "quicksand". This feeling is in fact your muscles trying to respond to the motion stimulus, while being nearly completely unable to react to it. It is also why you might sometimes try to scream within your dream, but are unable to physically do so...
This "paralysis" while dreaming, if "disconnected" somehow, can result in what is in scientific terms called "somnambulism", or in the more colloquial form, "sleep walking". Of course, the possible ramifications of somnambulism are quite grave, as you could (as an extreme example) possibly walk out into traffic for real, while in your dream you are walking through your house, or possibly the woods or something!!!
Just imagine if, every time you found yourself running away from something in your dream, you could in fact physically get up and really run, while still sleeping! This would clearly NOT be at all beneficial!
Thus, this "paralysis" is obviously quite a useful thing during the dream state (imho) :-}
