Maybe Tomorrow
♫ Stereophonics Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I've been down and
I'm wondering why
These little black clouds
Keep walking around
With me
With me

It wastes time
And I'd rather be high
Think I'll walk me outside
And buy a rainbow smile
But be free
They're all free

So maybe tomorrow
I'll find my way home
So maybe tomorrow
I'll find my way home

I look around at a beautiful life
Been the upper side of down
Been the inside of out
But we breathe
We breathe

I wanna breeze and an open mind
I wanna swim in the ocean
Wanna take my time for me
All me

So maybe tomorrow
I'll find my way home
So maybe tomorrow
I'll find my way home

So maybe tomorrow
I'll find my way home
So maybe tomorrow
I'll find my way home

So maybe tomorrow
I'll find my way home

So maybe tomorrow
I'll find my way home

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "Maybe Tomorrow" by Stereophonics reflect a sense of disillusionment and frustration with life. The singer has been feeling down and is unsure why he keeps feeling surrounded by "little black clouds." He finds that wasting time and being in a low mood is not what he wants, and would much rather be high, hence the desire to "walk outside and buy a rainbow smile." He yearns to be free and connect with the world with a more positive outlook.

However, he also acknowledges that despite the difficulties, life is beautiful and worth breathing in. He does not want to rush through life but instead wishes to have time for himself, to swim in the ocean and to have an open mind. The chorus repeats the line "maybe tomorrow I'll find my way home," representing the hope that tomorrow will be a better day, where he can find his place in the world and feel a sense of belonging.

Overall, the song's lyrics convey a sense of resilience, even in the face of difficult times. The singer recognizes that life can be tough, but has faith that things can get better, and that hope is a powerful force.

I can't claim I like every single one of your songs, but I really love the fact they seem to be real songs, with beginning, middle, and end, chorus, sometimes bridge, etc... instead of just a "synthwave soundscapes" which sound cool for a little while, but eventually they get to be a drag. These are real songs. And then the vocals sound 80's-ish, or rather, they don't sound like modern style singing like a few other groups I know of. Some of these synthwave artists, have great sounding music, but the vocals sound like something out of a boyband or "Radio-Disney" (if you know what that means). I like the fact your vocals sound like genuine 80's (or early 90's or even late 70's)

Happy Valentine’s everybody. What a beautiful song ♥️ And the mood of the video matches the mood of the song.
It sounds like a lovechild between Tina Turner and David Bowie 😍

@TheTilt

Spot on :)

My idea for this song was how would 80's Bowie sound with Tina :)
