Run Away

Wipe your tears away
The pain is here to stay
Nothing in the way
Take the clouds away
There's nothing more to say
There's nothing more to say
I will remember you
Run away
I will remember 'til I die
Never want to die
Drowning in the sky
Like rats who left the trap
Was it just a game
Only doubts remain
We're drowning in the pain.
The song "Run Away" by Stratovarius seems to be a heartfelt plea to someone to escape from a painful situation or a difficult moment. The opening line urges the person to run the other way, away from the pain that seems to be unending. The singer acknowledges that wiping off the tears might bring temporary relief but acknowledges that the pain is here to stay. The line "nothing in the way" could mean that there is no barrier to the person running away even if it's just in their mind.
The lines "Take the clouds away, there's nothing more to say" may signify that the person should clear their mind of any confusion or fear and just take the first step towards a new life. The chorus repeats "Run away, I will remember you, run away, I will remember 'til I die". This could be interpreted as the singer telling the person that even though they may leave, their memory will remain with the singer till they die.
The final verse says "Never want to die, drowning in the sky, like rats who left the trap." This feels like an appeal to not give up hope even when things seem tough. The line "we're drowning in the pain" emphasizes the fact that the pain is so deep that the solution is to escape and start afresh.

he's not actually that high
But i understand how it sounds
it's Pure Magic because Singing involves a degree of trickery .
But let's be honest ... this is necessary so they don't blow out their voices.
I can sing this.
But, Understand... it's one thing for me to be able to sing this once every 3 days or so.
it's another thing altogether to sing around 15 or so songs at a concert one after the other
THEN DO IT EVERY DAY FOR SEVERAL MONTHS
that's called VOCAL STAMINA
NO ONE... can create a song that pushes their voice to the limit every time
AND LAST FOR MONTHS ON END
Your voice would be fucked after 5 days
concerts would be cancelled.... NO WAY THAT CAN HAPPEN
there are vocal tricks that allow a singer to appear higher while not exerting as much energy
Examples : Using your diaphram (this is possibly the most basic of tricks) Allowing you to sing higher with less effort
then... Facial Expressions to give the impression that you're struggling when you're not
then... Positioning the note on the edge of your vocal chords which gives higher amplitude without any additional strain
Stuff like that
then you have doubling of voices
then you have backup vocals high and low (Sort of what Def Leppard do)
in the case of Rob Halford, Painkiller, he's actually doing that .
and even in that case, it's NOT as high as you think , but it is still fucking high
it's actually never as high as you think,
Again.. Vocal Tricks

From our lives beginning on
We are pushed in little forms
No one asks us how we like to be
In school they teach you what to think
But everyone says different things
But they're all convinced that
They're the ones to see
So they keep talking and they never stop
And at a certain point you give it up
So the only thing that's left to think is this
I want out
To live my life alone
I want out
Leave me be
I want out
To do things on my own
I want out
To live my life and to be free
People tell me A and B
They tell me how I have to see
Things that I have seen already clear
So they push me then from side to side
They're pushing me from black to white
They're pushing 'til there's nothing more to hear
But don't push me to the maximum
Shut your mouth and take it home
Cause I decide the way things gonna be
I want out
To live my life alone
I want out
Leave me be
I want out
To do things on my own
I want out
To live my life and to be free
There's a million ways to see the things in life
A million ways to be the fool
In the end of it, none of us is right
Sometimes we need to be alone
No, no, no, leave me alone
I want out
To live my life alone
I want out
Leave me be
I want out
To do things on my own
I want out
To live my life and to be free
I want out!
@martinkuliza
LOL....... that is not even remotely true
I CAN DO IT, and i've been singing for 4 years only
Most Baritone's can do it (Assuming you've had some training)
Normal people can't because they don't know how.
No.. the thing is... those notes are not as high as you think they are.
Get some vocal training , You'll understand.
If you're a baritone, Tell your vocal coach you want to do this, and they'll have you doing it within 4 to 6 months
Possibly even 3, Depending on a few things.
or even this as an example.
Normal people don't know how... but, Get just 1 month of vocal training and you'll see what a difference your voice makes
THIS IS BECAUSE... in that first month
You are already shit
The vocal coach
Get your breathing properly
on pitch
Doing your scales
and you develop some basic muscle memory
and all of a sudden, YOU SOUND GOOD LOL
after that 1 month go to your friends and sing any song within your range
and they'll tell you you're a god
Your'e not, it's just that
IF YOU DO THINGS PROPERLY,IT SOUNDS PLEASING TO THE EAR
that's what you're hearing here

You are hereby christened my friend into the metal family of the world.
My god... You just recently found this band... wow.
I'm 50, been into this since i was like 14 or something .
Oh well, Better late than never
in the day , THIS WAS CONSIDERED PART OF THE HEAVY METAL UNDERGROUND.
There were 2 ways you followed metal back in the day
You had your mainstream stuff, we have some heavy Metal Magazines and that was cool
but possibly the best way was THE HEADBANGERS BALL (as we called it THE FUCKING BALL).
BUT AFTER A WHILE MUSIC TURNED INTO ONE GIANT PUSSY and became somewhat fake.
We craved metal to be REAL !
and thats where you get the underground stuff , it wasn't popular but had a huge following,
it's the primary reason why Metallica took off
Other Underground stuff we used to listen to
Helloween
Mortal Sin
Blessed Death
Warlord
S.A. Slayer
Deicide
Tygers of Pan Tang
Sodom
Dio
Man o War
