The position for defficating in the click pick makes sense if you're running around outside wearing a skirt, but not so much if you're wearing pants. I can see, evolutionary speaking, how it came about.

But squatting to pee, doesn't make much sense to me, evolutionarily, if its something that needs to be done throughout the day without having to shit at the same time.

Splatter back is a valid issue though.
Working road construction, my foreman would open the door of his pickup, as a privacy shield , and piss on the ground.
Asphalt doesn't absorb water. It splatters it. Onto his door.
His truck smelled like piss, if you had to drive it.

I'll test the concept and squat to pee for awhile to see if it is any better than standing, physically or biologically.

I won't have to keep a look out for predators so sitting should be safe enough if I don't tell my friends I squat when I pee.

The "making your food into a ring trick" also works for some baking too, for example, making a toroidal meatloaf helps it to cook more evenly as well as giving you more space for glaze on each piece.

The alternative to re-arranging your food in to a ring is to simply drop the temperature and increase the cooking time so that the heat gets more chance to move through the food.

Microwave ovens don't actually reduce the temperature if you turn the heat setting down, they just turn on and off multiple times during the cooking cycle, eg if it's set at 50% heat for 4 minutes then the heat is on for only 2 of those minutes and the rest of the time the already heated food heats up the food that the microwaves can't reach.

When I moved to Japan I was blown away by their toilets. If you go to a fancy restaurant, department store, or hotel the bathrooms have these technological wonders that make you feel like a Starfleet captain with buttons, dials, and digital screens. However, even in some of the fanciest bathrooms, there will usually be at least one stall with a traditional Asian toilet. It's a trough in a raised platform on the floor with a little point sticking out past the edge. A friend of mine that was a med student from Taiwan explained the mechanics of them and said many people will only use the traditional toilets because they don't feel relieved enough after using a western style one. I used both, but had to stick with the western ones when I had a choice mainly because of my bad knees (that and the seat warmers were nice on cold days). I did feel a little more 'done' after using the traditional ones though.

When I studied in Germany in college, my German roommate made the same claim about peeing sitting down for men. Plus, the way a lot of European toilets are designed with a shelf in the back of the bowl causes a lot of splatter when one pees standing up.

Actually, the pea sized blob for toothpaste is only for children under 2. If you do the research on adult usage, our teeth require the minerals in toothpaste and about an inch is sufficient. It's been an issue in my house, too, as I was under this understanding until I got into quality and infection control.

61 years old here, numerous dentists and only one educated me in how to use a toothbrush and toothpaste - I was about six and he said to not go overboard, use enough to get it around your teeth, then always rinse. I agree that a pea-sized blob is not enough for an adult, there needs to be enough. It's a judgement call.

I knew about the shower one already. Didn't know about the stretching one, though, and not sure I believe it; my first job as a truck unloader, things always went more smoothly if I did the warm-up stretches before spending a few hours grabbing boxes. Glad to know that one about the toilet. But I think the one about the sleeping position is most valuable to me; I've been favoring my right side for as long as I can remember, and indigestion is a common issue. Squat toilets (porcelain holes in the floor) are very common in East Asian countries. However, with "western toilets" being more common in hotels and public restrooms, warning signs are necessary as many (if not most East Asians) will still prefer to squat. The sides of "western toilets" are not always strong enough to support the weight of a person balancing on two feet rather than two whole thighs. Also, since the sides of western toilets are thinner, there's more of a chance of people losing their balance and getting hurt while trying to squat. There are companies that now sell "combination" toilets for accommodating both sitting and squatting by making the sides thicker and providing ample space for feet.

I agree with all of this but I have to say putting the eggs at the back of the fridge exposes It to a much much much cooler temperature than it can handle after being in a warm supermarket so they will freeze but you'll just have to crack the egg use a fork to get it out and whip it up before you can actually use It.

Also putting a hole in the middle of your food for reheating leaves a spot for you to put a small microwave safe dish in the middle to add water so the food doesn't dry out too much it's the best idea I've ever used you can even do it with pizza leave a dish with hot water in the microwave with your pizza slices and it will add moisture as it draws the moisture it's like eating that same pizza freshly cooked

As for microwave ovens, if you have the room, you can elevate the plate 4 1/5 inches (115mm) above the metal floor, the microwave energy can get under it. That is about the wavelength for 2.5Ghz. Another missed point, plastic microwave safe containers are only safe with water, oils boil at a much higher temperature and will melt through or pit it trapping food in the bubbles.

You lose more of your body heat from your feet. Think about this. Your feet are almost constantly in contact with the earth or the floor. This means that the massive volume of lower temperature saps out your body heat over time through that contact. I've gone out barefoot in the winter before, and even though the rest of me was bundled up, I felt just as cold as if I were wearing nothing.

I may have to disagree because if you were bear footed you will notice the floor is hot on the concreate ground and the fact of convection occuring in the mantle is more of heating your feet then cooling its tempreture. Its noticeable in summer try it on a hot day step on the floor bear footed and feel you feet burn. Although its probably due to infa-red and UV light.

I tried that getting onto the toilet seat method described at 17:00 but on my first try, my large size 13 foot slipped into the bowl with urine already in it. After shaking it off, I next tried doing it backwards facing the wall only to fall into the tub. Finally I realized that with big feet like I have, I could perch on top of the fence that separates my property from my neighbor. It worked although he wasn't happy with what he found in his rose bushes the next day.

Actually, I learned from an engineer that ceiling fans are designed to ‘blow’ down the warm air that rises, in the winter and when reversed, pull up cool air that pools around the floor since cool air sinks, so it will cool off our upper body and head.

The segment on the best sleeping posture was of interest to me as I do tend to sleep on my right side. It is good that it hasn't caused me any problems because eight years ago I broke my left shoulder. While the break healed completely it must have left it incapable of handling my weight. I am morbidly obese which is probably why sleeping on my left side is impossible. I will limit the length of time I leave my flip phone on the charger and put my deodorant on before going to bed.

Personally, I shower everyday (especially as I used to work in a hot factory)....but I very rarely "wash" my body. I usually just use shampoo and wash my hair (which also isn't good to do everyday for many people but my hair is very thick and gets super greasy quickly even though I keep it short) and then use a little shampoo on my armpits....and other than that I just let the water and shampoo run down my body and that's enough to stay clean. I only ever use antiperspirant (deodorant gives me a rash) and at most a tiny bit of cologne and women have often told me I smell good.....so I must be doing something right not using soap/bodywash (unless I happen to get really dirty doing work or some activity, as I said I will use it occasionally...just not often)

BTW if you don't buy store bought eggs as long as they have never been refrigerated you don't need to refrigerate them. store bought eggs last 1-3 week in the fridge, but fresh non refrigerated eggs can last for 3-4 months! just don't wash them till your ready to use them or it'll get rid of the eggs protective layer. I'm a farmer so PLZ trust me. Get your eggs strait from your local farmer and listen to my tips above

I have been a runner for 38 years. I was on the Army running team years ago. I had heard this nonsense about not stretching before running....if you are over 30 or 40 for sure....not stretching is going to get you hurt. The proper seating when straining out the poop ... one of the reasons to do it that way was demonstrated, sadly, by an uncle who used to sit up properly and "really force" the matter out. Unfortunately, it also causes a rise in blood pressure and ... he suffered a stroke from which he never recovered. I've noted, now in my old age, that when I really have to force the matter out, yes, I can feel the force / strain change in blood pressure in the brain area.

I am still trying to find that perfect sleep position. Right now my shoulders...mainly my right...is so sore from me placing it behind my head. No matter what position I sleep in, my arms seem to always be in the way. Up until recently, I almostly felt refreshed after a good night's sleep. But now, I feel like Iron Mike pounds his fist into my shoulder, like the most effective alarm clock.

I switched to Arm and Hammer natural deodorant. I was growing lumps under my arms using the deodorant with aluminum in it. I hope this helps anyone

Be careful with arm and hammer. It has baking soda in it and that can mix with the acidity of your sweat and cause a chemical burn. Not saying you specifically will have a bad reaction just that it is possible.

I've used Secret Powder Fresh for the last 40 years with no probs. I have an acute allergy to scents, so I have to watch what I use or it's insta-migraine. Odd thing is, now that I'm older, 53 and had a hysterectomy, I don't sweat nearly as much as before.

Commercially made ketchup can definitely go bad if it’s left unrefrigerated which is why they say keep refrigerated on the bottle
As well as jelly and jams that are commercially made once they’re opened they lose their shelflife and you have to keep them refrigerated because they put little to no preservatives in them so the turnover rate is faster

I put half toothpaste on a toothbrush instead of whole..I found out you don't need as much (I would end up spitting it out any way). And I do sleep on my left because I've always read that side is better and the right does give me heartburn. The bathroom thing - my son used to use the bathroom squatting like that when he was younger, lol..I used to find it weird

Toilet stools are common incl for kids. Pelvic floor therapists will confirm they work better with human anatomy. Also sitting fwd and a straighter helps relax bladder muscles. Good YT videos.

coming from someone who injures themself a lot while running, you definitely need to stretch your muscles before. The best way to do this while not decreasing your performance is doing dynamic stretches in your warm-up routine.

I have major urinary and bowel issues so I'm hoping that the truck in this video might help some. I've ended in the hospital with my bowels not allowing me to releave myself for a month off longer and I get so compacted that it has ended up with surgery on one occasion. Crazy the things that go normal when your y young and add you get older, the same things just don't work right.

The showering one is somewhat wrong. Showering daily is fine, the problem is using water that's too hot, or using soap too often. Simply rubbing your skin for 30 seconds (per area) under running water is just fine, unless you're particularly dirty. Dermatologists generally recommend only using soap 2-3 times a week.

I Learned in dental hygiene school that toothpaste actually does nothing to clean your teeth. It actually hinders the brush from doing a thorough job of cleaning. All it does is freshens your breath. You should brush your teeth with water for 2 minutes- that will clean your teeth really well. Then go back and brush with tooth paste to freshen your breath. Also my dentist told me the same thing. Another thing I learned was, babies are not born with the cavity bacteria Strep Mutans. They usually get it from the mother testing their food to make sure it’s not hot. All it takes is one time and the kid gets the cavity bacteria for life. Do yourself a favor and never test their food when feeding them. Never share a spoon or a drink with them. They cannot get cavities if you don’t do this. This will save their teeth and also save you money on their dental bills until they share someone’s soda or kiss someone of course.

Yeah, the only things in the laundry I can actually fold correctly, according to my mom LOL, are the pants, socks and personal clothing. But when it comes to the towels, she's constantly scolding me that I'm folding them the wrong way! Oh for goodness sake! It's all because we have, in our new house...well I'll put it this way. We have bigger cabinets for putting our big towels in. However, we have a LOT of those said towels. So, now we have to fold them in thirds, BUT where the towel winds up on the narrow side. Kind of like when your teacher would tell you to fold your paper, "hot dog" style. That's what we have to do now, instead of the usual "hamburger style" that I'm used to. Ugh! Eh, I'm working on it

There are some fungi and other things that infect bananas which sometimes manage to sneak past quality control and make it to the market. But most of those start from the flower end, so opening them from that end also allows you to find them before you bite into them.

I thought it was not good for your body but after the video I realized it was a good thing! So I’m very happy that i was not hurting my body😅. On the toilet one, you don't actually squat ON the toilet, you just need to angle your thighs and feet upward so you can position your bowels properly to fully empty :) Having a little foot stool will help you achieve this.

Wasn't the stem part of stemware (wine glasses, champagne flutes, brandy snifter, etc.) developed so that the heat of your hand is not transferred into the drink, especially if it had been chilled prior to consuming? I don't know about you but my nose is usually inside the glass when I take a sip and no where near my filthy hands. All jokes aside, smell is definitely a large part of taste but temperature also plays an important role in the very delicate flavours in different wines and spirits.

I learned the 3-second t-shirt fold from an obscure little video about 20 years ago! LOL! It takes a little practice, but worth learning. A lot of this is worth investigating, some is REALLY USEFUL. But Ketchup storage: There is a reason you shake it, it separates. NOT a good sign when you see something furry growing in the container. If in doubt, refrigerate it. Worst case scenario? Cold and you'll still have to shake it. Stretching before workout? Go talk to any three physical therapists. If they are smart, they will also want to know if you are hydrated. Drink a glass of water before working out. Cramps hurt.
