"chanchan" and "chonchon" reminds me of onomatopoeia for birds in Japanese language, which goes something like "ちゅうちゅう鳴く" (chunchunaku), but i dont think they have any meaning at all.

@@MikaelArkangil My guess is it was onomatopoeia of the little trams that used to be ubiquitous in the early 20th century urban centers. A sort of symbolism of progress? The pai no pai no pai probably having a sort of "[Noise/Word] over and over".
