(Natsu ga Kita!), やさしい悪魔 (Yasashii Akuma), 暑中お見舞い申し上げます (Shochuu Omimai Moshiagemasu), アン・ドゥ・トロワ (Un, Deux, Trois), わな (Wana), and 微笑がえし (Hohoemi Gaeshi). They were a representative idol group of Japan in the 1970s along with ピンク・レディー.
In 1977, at the height of their popularity, they dropped out of the music business with the famous phrase of "普通の女の子に戻りたい" ("We want to return to [being] ordinary girls.") Their farewell concert was held at the Korakuen Stadium on April 4, 1978.

1978年4月にテレビ放送でキャンディーズのファイナルコンサートを視聴しました。このファイナルコンサートまでにキャンディーズの楽曲をオリコン１位にして有終の美を飾らせたいというファンの熱気は凄まじいものでした。街頭で手作りのビラを配る人たち、拡声器を使わず地声でレコード購入を訴える人たち、口コミで宣伝する人たちなど物凄く多くの若者が自発的にキャンディーズを応援していました。そして、とうとうこの「微笑みがえし」がオリコン１位を獲得しました。熱い時代でした。
