Furidashita ame wa kawaita asufaruto ni tokete
Binetsu majiri no te tsumetaku tsutsumikonde iku

Demo ne kawareru kibou wo sutete made kono mama
(Kimi to zutto onaji yume wo miyou to...)
Kurikaesu hibi ga bokura wo nurashite iku
Ano hi egaita basho sae
Doshaburi no yoru wa zutto nariyamanai

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "Crying Rain" by Girugamesh express a feeling of being trapped in a cycle of pain and disappointment. The rain falling from the sky represents the tears that the singer is fighting to hold back, and the dry asphalt and feverish hands they mention in the beginning suggest a feeling of isolation and discomfort. As they walk without shedding a tear, despite possibly betraying someone they care about, the singer questions whether it's worth it to hold onto hope if it means giving up a dream they share with someone else. The repeated lyric "night keeps crying," signifies how the cyclical sadness keeps haunting them and won't stop no matter what they do.

The second verse provides a shift in perspective as the singer describes their face reflected in a puddle caused by the rain. They seem to be questioning whether they should give up on what they want in life, wondering if the answer is as simple as just giving up. The song asks if self-reflection and embracing one's desires can ease the emotional pain of betrayal, and whether it's possible to stop feeling lost and uncertain.

The rain that began to fall dissolves into the dry asphalt
In the chill I wrap these hands, mingling with a slight heat

Not showing my tears, I walk
A martyr for something
Even if the outcome may be that I betray you

But you know, it can be changed so that until I abandon hope
Just like this, I'll always dream the same dream with you...

The repeating days soak us
Even the place we pictured on that day
The nighttime downpour keeps thundering on and on
And the night cries, cries

The rain that began to fall put the scent of soil on the wind
My face reflects in a tepidly gathering puddle

Is it fine this way?
Although there's only one answer
This is the conclusion that gave rise to my worries
So please don't ask me anymore

If I blame myself will my feelings become a little easier?
You see, I'm always just playing the victim

Even if we walk and smile at one another, glossing things over
The rain washes everything away
The day you announced our separation, in truth I was crying
Dissolve this lie of a smile

Continuing to hesitate, continuing to worry
I think I can become stronger
Continuing to hesitate, continuing to worry
So until the day I can smile at such days

Feelings I can't completely throw away slowly cutting off my breaths
I shut my eyes and exhale
Remembering that day, clenching my fists tightly
Wishing for tomorrow

The repeating days soak us
Even the place we pictured on that day
The nighttime downpour keeps thundering on and on
And the night cries, cries

Life Outward

Back in like 2009, some random guy at a sushi bar recommended this band to me when the topic of Japanese culture came up and I'd never heard of it. It's actually really good.
He had good taste.

2007-2013 was the golden age of japanese culture's fever in Kiyv where I was born and raised. I've been in a j-rock band, we called ourselves Shiroku, still don't know the meaning tho, lol. We covered songs of the Gazette, and then I met my first love at the concert, she was the one who introduced me to Crying Rain and Shining, I felt in love with those songs and this band immediatley. Everytime I hear this song, the nostalgic feeling hit me hard, I could feel, smell and hear my old good times, my carefree 19, my old friends, my first love and first cheap chinese eletric guitar...
God, what happened to me.

You can continue if you think this part is still relevant and defines you.

I remember my ipod was full of J-pop and V-rock songs between 2007-2012, then I stopped listening Japanese music and start listening 90s and 00s hip hop music
