(Tokyo Honey Orchestra) depict the struggles and innocence of a young individual navigating the bustling city of Tokyo. The first verse begins with the imagery of dragging a suitcase and looking at the subway map, illustrating the singer's new and uncertain journey in the city. The mention of new sneakers and immediate blisters highlights their vulnerability and reliance on others. The following lines convey an inability to let go of belongings and recent goodbyes, emphasizing the challenge of moving forward.
The chorus compares Tokyo to a beehive, with a working bee's procession. The singer likens themselves to a soft larva, still immature, dreaming of something sweet and innocent. The lyrics express a desire for guidance and insight amid the chaotic and uncertain future. The mention of the phrase "cover the smell" suggests a traditional saying to avoid unpleasant situations, but the singer realizes it doesn't apply in this unfamiliar territory.
The second verse repeats the image of Tokyo as a beehive, emphasizing the busy and industrious nature of the city. The singer admits to being naive and sheltered, easily tempted by the enticing fragrance around them. The lyrics convey a yearning for someone to quickly teach them that things are not as sweet as they seem.
