Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Lord Laharl's Hymn describe the essence of a powerful and evil entity, named Laharl-sama, who has such an aura that even the dead awaken upon hearing his name. He is the embodiment of unfettered malevolence, who manages to escape from any situation, and whose presence can instill fear in any demonic being. The lyrics demonstrate that Laharl-sama is the one who rules over the netherworld and all its inhabitants, and his word is law.

The lyrics also suggest that anyone who encounters Laharl-sama will be compelled to kneel before him, and if needed, give up their life for him. The lines "Hikae yo monodomo" mean "Kneel before him, everyone," which conveys the idea that even though Laharl-sama might be cruel and ruthless, he still commands a great deal of respect and devotion from his followers. The last part of the lyrics describe Laharl-sama's reign in the netherworld, where darkness rules over everything, and those who dare to oppose him meet a terrible fate. The words "Yume to kibou akumu ni kaete, seigi no mikata uchikudaku DAARKU HIIROO," translate to "Dreams and hopes turn into nightmares, and the champion of justice falls apart."
