The song "hands" by 倖田來未 (Koda Kumi) talks about longing for someone who is no longer with the singer. It's clear from the lyrics that the singer wants the person to stay with her, but for some reason, they cannot. The singer's hands are cold and frozen, but she desperately wants to hold onto the person and keep them close. She repeats the phrase "こんなに想ってるのに" (konnanisou tteru no ni) which means "even though I think of you so much," emphasizing how much she misses the person.
The first verse mentions that everything the person left behind is still in the singer's heart, and seeing their smile is painful because she can't be with them. The second verse talks about the distance between the two people growing because of doubt and hope, but the singer wants to ignore that and hold onto the person's hand again.
The bridge talks about how in this world, there's no choice but to keep moving forward, even in uncertain times. Despite this, the singer wants to warm up the person she's missing.
The chorus repeats the phrase "冷たく凍えそうな my hands" (tsumetaku kogoesouna my hands) which means "my hands are so cold they feel like they're frozen" multiple times, emphasizing the loneliness and longing the singer feels. She ends the song by wishing to be able to go back to when she first held the person's hand and to warm up her own cold hands with theirs.
