Black cats and voodoo dolls
I feel a premonition
That girl's gonna make me fall (fire)
She's into new sensations
New kicks in the candlelight
She's got a new addiction
She'll make you take your clothes off and go dancing in the rain
She'll make you live her crazy life
But she'll take away your pain
Like a bullet to your brain, come on!
Upside, inside out
She's livin' la vida loca
She'll push and pull you down
Livin' la vida loca
Her lips are devil red
And her skin's the color mocha
She will wear you out
Livin' la vida loca (come on!)
Livin' la vida loca (come on!)
She's livin' la vida loca
(Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey)
Woke up in new york city in a funky cheap hotel
She took my heart and she took my money
She must've slipped me a sleeping pill
She never drinks the water, makes you order french champagne
Once you've had a taste of her, you'll never be the same
Yeah, she'll make you go insane, come on!
Upside, inside out
She's livin' la vida loca (come on!)
She'll push and pull you down
Livin' la vida loca
Her lips are devil red
And her skin's the color mocha
She will wear you out
Livin' la vida loca (come on!)
Livin' la vida loca (come on!)
She's livin' la vida loca (come on!)
She'll make you take your clothes off and go dancing in the rain
She'll make you live her crazy life
But she'll take away your pain
Like a bullet to your brain, come on!
Upside, inside out
She's livin' la vida loca
She'll push and pull you down
Livin' la vida loca
Her lips are devil red
And her skin's the color mocha
She will wear you out
Livin' la vida loca (come on!)
Upside, inside out
She's livin' la vida loca
She'll push and pull you down
Livin' la vida loca
Her lips are devil red
And her skin's the color mocha
She will wear you out
Livin' la vida loca (come on!)
Livin' la vida loca (come on!)
She's livin' la vida loca (come on!)
"La La La La La" by 倖田來未 is a vibrant and energetic song that captures the essence of living life to the fullest and embracing thrilling experiences. The lyrics depict a woman who is immersed in various superstitions, such as believing in black cats and voodoo dolls. The singer of the song feels a strong premonition that this enigmatic woman will make them fall in love.
The woman in question is drawn towards new sensations and enjoys the thrill of experiencing new things. She is fond of indulging in new kicks, possibly referring to trying out new activities or adventures in the candlelight. Furthermore, she has a new addiction to something different every day and night, suggesting her constant craving for excitement and novelty.
The song suggests that this woman is charismatic and intoxicating, as she leads others to take risks and embrace a carefree lifestyle. She has the power to make people embrace their desires, shed their inhibitions, and dance in the rain. While she offers a crazy and exciting way of living, she also has the ability to alleviate others' pain and burdens, acting as a soothing balm to their troubled hearts.
The chorus emphasizes the vivacious and extravagant nature of this woman, using the Spanish phrase "la vida loca" meaning "the crazy life" to describe her. She is seen as someone who is able to turn lives upside down and inside out with her magnetic personality. Her lips, described as devil red, and her mocha-colored skin further reinforce her allure and temptation. The repetition of "come on" throughout the song adds a sense of urgency and excitement, urging the listener to join in on this exhilarating journey.
The second verse adds a touch of mystery and intrigue to this woman's character. The singer wakes up in New York City, having fallen for her charms in a cheap hotel. However, it becomes evident that the woman has taken advantage of the singer, as they realize their heart and money have been taken. This suggests a sense of danger and unpredictability associated with her.
Overall, "La La La La La" portrays an irresistible woman who lives life to the fullest, revels in new experiences, and possesses a power to captivate and intoxicate others. The lyrics encourage listeners to embrace a thrilling and adventurous approach to life, even if it means surrendering control.
