The lyrics to "Lady Go!" by 倖田來未 (Koda Kumi) convey a carefree and spirited vibe that captures the essence of summer. The chorus repeats the phrase "Lady Ready Go, Here We Here We Go" which signifies a determination to embrace the season and live life to the fullest without any regrets or longing for someone. It's about letting go of any attachments and fully immersing oneself in the fun and excitement of summer.
The opening verse describes a casual morning where the singer comes across a horoscope. Although initially skeptical, the singer cannot help but be intrigued by the results. The lucky color "white" is mentioned, leading to the decision of choosing a bikini with that color. The following lines touch upon the popular debate of whether to get a tan or maintain a fair complexion. The lyrics suggest that worrying about blemishes and imperfections would only dampen the joy and essence of summer.
The second verse encompasses conversations amongst friends discussing fate, possibilities, and overactive imaginations. The lines "Run, run, run, the wildest imagination" imply the exhilaration and thrill of conjuring up exciting scenarios. The lyrics then shift to the topic of food, specifically the dilemma of whether to indulge or resist. Again, the singer debates with their inner demons, who find amusement in their insecurities and anxieties.
Overall, the lyrics of "Lady Go!" celebrate the carefree nature of summer, encouraging listeners to let go of worries, enjoy the beach, embrace the company of friends, and ignite the blossoming of joy in their lives.
