"Twinkle" by 倖田來未 is a song about embracing the mysteries and uncertainties of life, and finding the courage to step forward and believe in oneself. The lyrics acknowledge that the world is full of countless mysteries, and someone once said that these mysteries are not mere coincidences but rather a predetermined story. Even when feeling alone or scared, the song assures that the universe will guide and lead us. It encourages the listener to clap their hands (symbolizing taking action) and create a dramatic and exciting development towards tomorrow. The song speaks to dreamers, urging them to enjoy the thrilling journey of life and to trust in themselves.
The lyrics emphasize the importance of letting go of one's facade and facing oneself honestly. It urges the listener to abandon their false bravado and accept that it is okay to feel confused and unsure. By believing in oneself and holding onto an unyielding spirit, one can rediscover their true self and walk on the path they desire. The song recognizes that life can be unexpectedly difficult, but it emphasizes the desire to live in the present moment and make the most of it.

Twinkle Twinkle Can't you see
Need you need you but let you go
Somebody said to me that life is a mystery
And that you never know
what's out there awaiting for you
Everything is meant to happen, to write
A story of life
Even when you are so alone
Even when you are so afraid with this loneliness
You'll be alright 'cause it will lead your way
refrain:
Come on Twinkle
Why don't you clap your hands
Just open your door for the better tomorrow and
Play your own life like you're a movie star
Don't you know that we're all dreamers
Twinkle Twinkle Can't you see
Need you need but let you go
The future's in your hands and
here's the map showing the way
To find yourself again,
a part of you we never knew
Tell yourself it'll be alright
To give up and swallow your pride
Believe in yourself Don't be afraid
All your worries will go away because
You will fight to win your
life with strength to carry on
refrain
Suddenly the sadness took my soul
Away like a rain on perfect day
But let me go and live my life
Come on Twinkle Why don't you clap your hands
Play your own life like you're a movie star
Come on Twinkle
Why don't you clap your hands
Just open your door for the better tomorrow and
Play your own life like you're a movie star
Don't you know that we're all dreamers
And we walk out the door, dreamers
