Their music style is aggressive, fast-paced rock with rapid changes of tempo and mood reminiscent of styles as diverse as progressive rock, post-hardcore, post-rock, and funk. They utilize both male and female vocals ranging from soft singing to loud wails and screams. As of 2013, they've released five full-length albums, an EP, and three singles, as well as various demos. Their latest album, i'mperfect, was released April 10, 2013. It features the single "Abnormalize" which was used as the opening theme for the anime Psycho-Pass. This album is also their first to be released in Europe as they signed for distribution with JPU Records in June 2013.
Ling Tosite Sigure has maintained its original lineup of guitarist/vocalist Toru "TK" Kitajima (北嶋徹), bassist/vocalist Miyoko "345" Nakamura (中村美代子), and drummer Masatoshi "Pierre" Nakano (ピエール中野). TK also writes solo music as TK From 凛として時雨; he released his debut album flowering on June 27, 2012.

I don't know why, but the music and songs of TK Ling Tosite Sigure 凛として時雨 evoke such a storm of emotions in me that nothing else can possibly survive from me.
Confusion, chaos and thin strings of minor tenderness, weaving everything into a single canvas. Bringing feelings to the brink, to the limit, and then a sharp release and devastation ... This is what catches. This is what warms and makes my heart groan in pain. Strong, powerful, uncontrollable with a slight touch of sadness. Perhaps this is the case when I sincerely catch musical ecstasy, surrendering to feelings and emotions without a trace at the moment of listening ... It's hard to explain why exactly this resonates with me. It is difficult to convey the whole deep meaning, spectrum and message of this musical pleasure, which fills my mind and heart.
The funny thing is, I understand that this is only mine, such a game and a strange perception. Or maybe just something that has gone into the very depths of my being. This sound race reverberates and echoes on a thin, barely perceptible, cobweb of experiences, and I smile, remembering the story of Ryunosuke Akutagawa.
Yes... somewhere in my personal Hell there is an ocean of these strong, bright, primitive, living, multifaceted feelings and emotions, a mighty huge ocean, and I lie on its waves, feeling with all my Self how boundless and beautiful this inner hell. Maybe it's not Hell at all.
I lie there on the waves and smile like an idiot caressed by a thin cobweb of rhythms.
And then it starts to rain...
It washes away the cobweb and fills the ocean of my feelings even more. Cold, like a downpour in late autumn.
