The song "Kobanzame no Uta" by Minoru Ohtawa tells a story of a man who is questioning the authenticity of the affection he receives from a woman. He wonders why his heart is wet with love if it's all just a façade. The flicker of the candlelight beneath his wig sways as he contemplates his fleeting fame. Despite it all, he confesses his ambiguity of love and hate.
In the midst of deceitful moonlit nights, the betrayed lover is left weeping as his lover abandons him. The tears of broken hearts scatter like petals on a stage. The song concludes with a reference to Kobanzame, a type of small, but deadly shark with a single love in life. The lyrics suggest that the love is worth fighting for despite the fear of losing it.
