The group began a foray into the Japanese music scene in late 2010 with Japanese remakes of their 2009 Korean hits "Genie" and "Gee." The group's debut Japanese album GIRLS' GENERATION was released on June 11, 2011. It is currently the highest selling album in Japan by a Korean group in Oricon history. It was certified Million by the RIAJ and made the group the second Korean artist to earn this achievement in Japan since Korean labelmate BoA's Best of Soul in 2005.
In 2011, they returned to the Korean music scene with "The Boys", which was released in three languages: Korean, Japanese, and for the first time, English. In early 2012, the group performed "The Boys" on the late night talk show Late Show with David Letterman and on the daytime talk show Live! with Kelly, becoming the first Korean musical act to perform on each show, and the first Korean act to perform on syndicated television in the United States. Taking advantage of the positive press, Girls' Generation released a repackage of their first album titled GIRLS' GENERATION ~The Boys~ on December 28, 2011. The repackage included "The Boys (Japanese Ver.)" and a special ballad called "Time Machine" as well as several remixes of previously released songs.
In 2012, they made their Japanese comeback with their fourth Japanese single, "Paparazzi", taken from their upcoming second Japanese album. The song ranked high in various Japanese charts, including the Japan Hot 100 in which it peaked at the number one spot. They later released their second single "Flower Power" on November 14, 2012. Their second Japanese album GIRLS' GENERATION II ~Girls & Peace~ was released on November 28, 2012.
On October 25, 2013, it was revealed that Girls' Generation will be releasing their third Japanese album LOVE&PEACE on December 11. The album was promoted with three previously-released singles: "LOVE&GIRLS", "My Oh My", and "Galaxy Supernova". The album was certified Gold by the RIAJ less than a month after it's release. Love & Girls and Galaxy Supernova charted at number four and three on the Oricon Singles Chart, respectively.
On July 23, 2014, the group released their first Japanese greatest hits album, The Best, which is composed of the group's previous singles and four new tracks: "Indestructible", "Divine", "Show Girls", and "Chain Reaction". It topped the Oricon Albums Chart for two consecutive weeks and has sold over 175,000 copies in Japan. With The Best claiming the top spot of the Oricon Albums Chart, Girls' Generation became the first non-Japanese female group in Asia to have three number-one albums on the chart. This was also the last album to feature member Jessica; "Divine" is the last song she recorded with Girls' Generation.
A few weeks after the release of Girl's Generation's single "Catch Me If You Can", a music video featuring former member Jessica was leaked online. This version was recorded in Japanese making "Catch Me If You Can" an unofficial release by 少女時代.

The lyrics of 少女時代's song BAD GIRL describe the confidence and superiority of a girl who knows she is flawless, which makes her a "Bad Girl". She challenges anyone who thinks they know her secret, believing that they will be surprised once they find out. She then goes on to show off her style and uniqueness that can't be replicated by anyone else. She admits that her secret can easily make anyone her captive, urging everyone not to underestimate her. The chorus repeats the statement of being a complete and perfect bad girl, inviting listeners to join her and indulge in her secret.
The song's lyrics suggest that the bad girl persona is not necessarily a negative thing. Instead, 少女時代 celebrates the confidence and power that comes with being yourself and owning it. The chorus talks about being complete and perfect, but this perfection is not related to societal standards of beauty or behavior. Instead, it highlights the strength that comes from being self-aware and comfortable in your own skin.
Overall, BAD GIRL is a song that encourages individuality and celebrates uniqueness. It acknowledges that everyone has secrets, but the ones who own and display them with confidence are the ones who leave a lasting impression.

@@Raborat I know and speaking of that, what about what SM done with the snsd members. Apparently they weren't giving Seohyun enough attention. I think she must of been fed up!
I was disappointed she's out of the group. But glad she is because, she does not have to suffer and put up with crap anyone more!
Also Jessica's is out of the group as well. Glad she is as well they didn't deserve her either.
And so is Tiffany.
I don't know why Tiffany is though.
As for the audio being bad, It's unacceptable. And the fact that it was planned that is nasty.
There was no need to even sell a million copies, because from what I can see it wouldn't of been long before the girls became popular.
@aldojoel4836
Obligatory "if you don't like it don't watch it, they sing better than you" comment.
Obligatory "I'm talking about the audio quality" response
"They did it so they would buy the album"
Then I put my grain of salt "someone please! A fan, update it!! Also, it's a bit late to reshoot the MV, but the green screen looks soooooo low budget. Could such person, nay, hero, also diminish the brightness on their bodies so it matches the background a bit more?"
There, I just posted cringe dude. Basically every thread on this comment section 😂😂
