EXHALE
惠特妮.休斯顿 whitney houston Lyrics

Everyone falls in love sometimes
Sometimes it's wrong, and sometimes it's right
For every win, someone must fail
But there comes a point when
When we exhale yeah, yeah, say

Shoop, shoop, shoop shoop be doop,
Shoop, shoop, shoop be doop
Shoop, shoop, shoop be doop (all you gotta do is say)
Shoop, shoop, shoop be doop
Shoop, shoop, shoop be doop
Shoop, shoop, shoop be doop
Shoop, shoop, shoop be doop

Sometimes you'll laugh, sometimes you'll cry
Life never tells us, the when's or why's
When you've got friends, to wish you well
You'll find your point when, you will exhale (yeah, yeah, say)

Shoop, shoop, shoop shoop be doop,
Shoop, shoop, shoop be doop
Shoop, shoop, shoop be doop
Shoop, shoop, shoop be doop
Shoop, shoop, shoop be doop
Shoop, shoop, shoop be doop
Shoop, shoop, shoop be doop

Hearts are often broken
When there are words unspoken
In your soul there's answers to your prayers
If you're searching for a place you know
A familiar face, somewhere to go
You should look inside yourself
You're halfway there

Sometimes you'll laugh, sometimes you'll cry
Life never tells us, the when's or why's
But when you've got friends, to wish you well
You'll find your point when
You will exhale (yeah, yeah, say)

Shoop, shoop, shoop shoop be doop,
Shoop, shoop, shoop be doop
Shoop, shoop, shoop be doop
Shoop, shoop, shoop be doop
Shoop, shoop, shoop be doop

Shoop, shoop, shoop be doop
Shoop, shoop, shoop be doop

Overall Meaning

Whitney Houston's song "Exhale" speaks about the ups and downs of life and love. The opening line "Everyone falls in love sometimes" sets the tone of the song. The lyrics highlight that sometimes love doesn't work out, as "sometimes it's wrong, and sometimes it's right." The song acknowledges that for every winner, there must be someone who falls short, but there comes a point when one must let go and exhale.

The chorus, with its repetitive "Shoop, shoop, shoop shoop be doop," implies that all you have to do is say and let go, no matter what your situation is. The second verse speaks about the unpredictable nature of life, where "sometimes you'll laugh, sometimes you'll cry," and no one can predict the course of events. Nonetheless, having friends by one's side can make a significant difference in navigating life's unpredictable nature.

The last verse speaks about the importance of being honest with oneself and not hiding the truth. Hearts are often broken when words are left unspoken, and one must look inside oneself to find answers. It implies that one needs to trust oneself and follow one's intuition to find answers to life's challenges. The song concludes that one will find their point of peace and contentment when they exhale.

This woman's voice is like velvet. People always speak of her belting power, but that rich crystal clear tone is the crowning glory of her voice.

That rich crystal tone in her voice is the greatest sound I've ever heard. Whitney Houston's 1980s voice is the greatest voice in the history of Western popular music. Of course Whitney's post-1992 voice is wonderful and strong, but her voice changed after having a baby. Celine Dion's voice changed considerably too, a year after her son's birth.

I’ve always struggled to describe her voice. I’ve always just called it a voice like glass but velvet works too. Her head voice is like nothing I’ve ever heard, not that she’s always hitting outrageous notes but just something about it is otherworldly. RIP Queen.

@@jakestroll6518I'll describe it for you. Rich, warm, and smooth like honey. Not even butter... honey. This song showcases her tone. No signature power vocals...just the tone. Unmatched by any singer.. past, present, and probably future. Her head voice is also unsurpassed but that tone is heaven.
