The lyrics to 斉藤由貴's song あなたに会いたい (Anata ni Aitai) express the deep longing of a woman to be with her lover on a cold, windy night. She muses that if time would stand still and keep them together, they could have a fairy-tale everlasting love. She apologizes for bothering her kind lover the previous evening and wishes to be close to him, leaning on his shoulder. The warmth of his body makes her feel somewhat bitter because of how much she misses being with him. The lyrics then shift to her wondering what he is doing, feeling, and seeing in faraway places. She then reminisces about a sudden kiss they shared on their way back home one day.
