Overall Meaning

The song 白い小鳩 by 朱里エイコ is about a woman who was born and raised in a town filled with sadness. She desperately wants to escape the town and the overwhelming feelings of sadness, so she sees herself as a white dove (小鳩) that wants to fly far away. When she was still young and innocent (生毛(うぶけ)さえ消えぬうちに), she began working at a bar at night and was tricked by a wanderer. She feels pitiful (あわれなそうよ小鳩) for being so naive, but she still dreams of the day when she can ride a train to escape the town and her sad life. She lives her life holding onto this dream and vows to never give up despite the hardships she faces (そうよけして負けないわ).
