Mon cheri
Mon cheri
Mon cheri
Mon cheri
The lyrics are from the song 吹雪の中を (fubuki no naka o) by 松任谷由実 (Yuming Matsutoya). The song talks about the difficulties of driving through heavy snowfall in the winter, with the singer addressing her lover and asking them not to leave her alone during the hazardous journey. The phrase "Mon cheri" is used throughout the song, which is French for "My dear".
The first verse talks about the difficulties of driving through a snowstorm, with the snow drifting heavily and the windshield wipers being unable to clear it away. She calls out to her lover and asks them not to leave her during this difficult time, and to wait for just a little longer until they reach their destination.
In the second verse, the singer's breath is labored as she struggles to see through the snowfall. She wonders where they are, on the edge of a cliff with snow collapsing around them. But she feels protected as long as her lover is with her, and she hopes to jump into their embrace as soon as they can.
The chorus repeats the phrase "stop time, just for now", expressing the desire to stay together in the moment, stopping everything else in the world. The singer is willing to brave the snowstorm and travel through the night to be with her beloved. Finally, in the last verse, she acknowledges that she can't live without him and longs to be close to him, flying high above the winter storm.
Overall, the song is a testament to the power of love and the lengths people will go to be together, even in the face of adversity.
