Sakuraba is regularly contracted for composing work through his own TEAM Entertainment, a company founded in 1999 to promote and license the work of artists.
With respects to his musical style, Sakuraba takes the baroque and melodic Japanese progressive rock of the 1980s and expands it with his own trademark complex rhythms, emotional flutes, use of male choir and heavy reverb. The lighter side of his style is a crossover between symphonic progressive rock, cinematic orchestra and new age. Sakuraba is also known for introducing many jazz-like improvisations to his music style. In recent years he has made a serious effort toward expanding his style even further.

What I love the most about these two is that they are basically the last test the game throws at you.
The Asylum Demon was there to see if you could beat your first boss.
The Taurus Demon was there to see if you could use your brain and be smart even mid-boss (kill the archers and then plunging attack)
The Bell Gargoyles where an equipment check (did you learn how to upgrade your equipment and how important it is?)
The Moonlight Butterfly was there to prove your patience (if you are a melee user, of course)
The Capra Demon was there to see if you were able to get yourself out of a dangerous situation and tip the scales.
The Gaping Dragon was there to see if you were too much greedy and fix that.
Chaos Witch Quelaag taught you how to recognise a boss' pattern.
Ceaseless Discharge taught you how looks can deceive.
The Iron Golem taught you how to recognise a boss' blind spot and hit there.
But Ornstein and Smough? They are different. They have a more specific question for you.
"Now that you have learned all these things, do you have what it takes to progress?"

Ornstien and smough literally stopped me from being able to progress on my first playthrough.
On my 2nd I decided to do things a lil differently, I had more gamesense and knew how things worked for once and luckily on my trip down into the darkroot basin I found a certain weapon that completely carried my ass through the entire game. That weapon, only drops by chance, That weapon probably is the best (or atleast my favourite) in the entire game.

I literally killed every single boss no problem and then when I finally, after all this time met up again with my duo of rivals and rich with vengeance I pulled my big ass weapon from my back and swung it down upon ornstiens face, putting his health on half in an instant.
The Dragonslayer never felt such a blow before, not even smough could match its sheer force alone.
Solaire proved an excellent companion through this gauntlet,
He kept smough busy while I cut down ornstien in front of him.
Smough became enraged and grew into an even stronger form, knocked solaire away and attempted to do the same to me. HOWEVER... I knew his tricks, his games, and I knew for one that I could beat him and finally get to see that amazing chest ahead of me, I sliced I dodged and finally...
I triumphed. As smough fell to his knees and then on his chest I felt a sense of accomplishment that nothing else has ever gave me.
The words that came out of my brave mouth were...
"Oh my fucking god I killed him!"
"LETS GOOO"
"THIS WEAPON IS BROKEN"
I know, very inspiring words...
Then i walked up them steps and then to the elevator to see gwynevere, and her amazing chest
