これ何で全くヒットしなかったのか未だに疑問です。
売れ線かなり行ってると思ってたのになあ。
楽曲の造りも良いしアレンジは若草恵さんの超一流アレンジですし。
メロディは「会いたい」よりも好きです。
ただ歌詞がちょっと不気味？心中前夜に無理矢理きゃっきゃうふふしてる？ような
底知れぬ悲しみとこの世の絶望を歌ってるようにも感じられ、不穏です。
若草恵さんのアレンジがこの曲の発表から5年前の「難破船」（中森明菜）を相当意識してるので
中森明菜さんの絶頂期だったら彼女に提供して歌ってもらってたらなあ、とも思いますが、
名曲になるには巡り合わせというものもありますから、こればかりはどうしようもありません。
ちなみに
「ほんとにあった怖い話」のエンディング曲でした。

シングルが出ては即座に買って聴き込んでいました
これは確か【男と女のミステリー】
(タイトルうろ覚えですが)
の、テーマ曲だったような…
どこかちょっと英語訛りっぽく聴こえる発音や
声は優しく包むタイプなのに、歌詞は割りと悲恋な内容が多かったのが
この方の最大の持ち味ですね
これを聴くと、若かりし日の 様々な思い出が甦りますね
良い事も悪い事も…
