This song just captures a certain feeling that I can't describe. It's like a mix of melancholy, nostalgia, and warmth. I love it.

the closure between shiori and kaori in the 2002 version was simply much needed.

i love both the 2006 and 2002 version, but 2006 was my personal favorite. I like how the 2002 had that moment in the end that wasn't in 2006, and also the OVA. I won't say any more for the ones who haven't seen it.... I LOVE KANON <3 T_T

Kanon, the VN and anime (especially the VN) will be forever in my heart and mind. It was the first VN that made me cry. It was 6 in the morining, and I finished Ayu's route, and by GOD, I cried my eyes off. The 2002 anime was so so, but the last 2 episode was done way better than 2006 KyoAni's version. Although story and animation wise, KyoAni is superb, especially Makoto's route was done beautiful in 2006. This opening was so good that became my favoite song.
