Miraa ga utsushidasu maboroshi o ki ni shinagara
Itsu no ma ni ka sokudo uegeteru no sa

Doko e itte mo ii to iwareru to
Hanpa na ganmou ni wa hyoujiki mo zenbu haiiro da

Honno no yurameki koyoi mo yume o egaku
Anata no fudesaki kawaite imasen ka

Aoi sora ga mienu nara aoi kasa hirogete
Ii janai ka kyanbasu wa kimi no mono
Shiroi hata wa akirameta toki ni dake kazasu no
Ima wa makka ni sasou tougyuushi no you ni

Karaa mo iroaseru keikoutou no moto
Shorokuro no chesuboodo no ue de kimi ni deatta

Bokura wa hitotoki mayoi nagara yorisotte
Are kara hitotsuki oboete imasu ka

Orenji iro no yuuhi o tonari de miteru dake de
Yokatta no ni na kuchi wa wazawai no moto
Kuroi fuku wa shisha ni inoru toki ni dake kiru no
Wazato makka ni nokoshita ruuju no ato

Mou jibun ni wa yume no nai eshika kakenai to iu nara
Nuritsubushite yo kyanbasu o nando demo

Shiroi hata wa ankirameta toki ni dake kazasu no
Ima no watashi wa anata no shiranai iro

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to 鄧麗欣's song "Colors" talk about the fleeting nature of life and the beauty found in the small moments. The first two lines talk about how we need to treasure mirages, as they disappear quickly. The next lines talk about how time seems to speed up without us noticing, and how even if we're told we can go anywhere we want, our expression shows that we don't really care. In fact, it's often the everyday moments that give us the most contentment.

The following lines talk about how even the slightest movements can create beautiful dreams, and wonder if the person listening can attest to this. It then talks about how if the blue sky can't be seen, we should use a blue umbrella instead, and that it's okay to be possessive of things like a bus pass. The white flag is only raised in defeat, and now we're like warriors clad in red that are being beckoned. Finally, it talks about how we shouldn't limit our dreams, and that even if we have to redraw them numerous times, we should never give up.
