As a father who is always on the go, it's difficult to balance my professional and personal life. When my daughter, Hailie, asks about her mother's whereabouts, I become distracted from my work as a musician.

As an alter-ego of mine, Slim Shady represents my dark and twisted nature. In one of my songs, I encourage an underdog to fight on their own and then immediately switch to expressing my love for Hailie before attacking her mother, who looks just like her. Although Slim Shady is a part of who I am as an artist, I still take responsibility for my actions.

I have a recurring dream where I push Hailie on a swing as she cries and pleads with me to stop singing, because it makes her mother cry. I reassure her that I am not leaving anymore and that she has me until she no longer wants it.

When I try to leave, Hailie puts boxes in front of the door to stop me, begging me not to go. She then gives me a locket with a picture of us inside, hoping it will keep me safe wherever I go.

As I leave my bedroom, it transforms into a stage filled with fans, jumping with joy at my music. The curtains close as the crowd throws roses at my feet, making me feel grateful as I take one last look at them. A surprise awaits me as I glance back down.

As I pull the trigger, the sky turns dark, and my life flashes before my eyes. I realize that the plane I was supposed to be on crashed and burned. This dream wakes me up to the sound of an alarm clock ringing, as I look outside seeing Hailie outside, enjoying the springtime weather.

I walk right up to Kim and kiss her tell her I miss her Hailie just smiles and winks at her little sister almost as if to say
Feeling grateful for having another chance at life, I kiss Kim, telling her how much I miss her. Hailie happily watches, as if she knows that everything is well between her parents.
