Including various forms of digital downloads, it sold over 8.7 million downloads by November 2008. Both of the songs are similar, and both share the same chorus. However, the song "Soba ni Iru ne" proved to be more popular than the song "Koko ni Iru yo", debuting at #3 in its first week on the Oricon charts, and in its second week, reaching #1 on the charts. Though it's hurting me, now it's history
I've played all my cards and that's what you've done too
Nothing more to say, no more ace to play
The winner takes it all
The loser standing small beside the victory, that's her destiny
I was in your arms thinking I belonged there
Building me a home, thinking I'd be strong there
But I was a fool, playing by the rules
The gods may throw a dice, their minds as cold as ice
And someone way down here loses someone dear
The winner takes it all, the loser has to fall
It's simple and it's plain, why should I complain
But tell me, does she kiss like I used to kiss you
Does it feel the same when she calls your name
Somewhere deep inside you must know I miss you
But what can I say, rules must be obeyed
The judges will decide the likes of me abide
Spectators of the show always staying low
The game is on again, a lover or a friend
A big thing or a small, the winner takes it all
I don't wanna talk if it makes you feel sad
And I understand you've come to shake my hand
I apologize if it makes you feel bad seeing me so tense, no self confidence
The song "Take It Slow" by 青山テルマ is a ballad about heartbreak and acceptance. The lyrics depict two people who have gone through a difficult breakup, and one of them is trying to move on while the other is still hung up on their past. The chorus "The winner takes it all, the loser standing small beside the victory, that's her destiny" highlights the competitive nature of relationships and how sometimes one person walks away with everything while the other is left with nothing.
The first verse describes how both parties have played their cards and there is nothing left to say or do. The second verse shows how the singer was misguided in thinking they had found their forever home, when in reality they were just playing by someone else's rules. The bridge poses a question to the other party asking if their new relationship is as good as the one they had with the singer.
The song speaks to anyone who has gone through a tough breakup and struggled with the concept of moving on. It's a reminder that sometimes things just don't work out and that's okay. 青山テルマ's soulful voice captures the emotions of heartbreak and longing, making "Take It Slow" a song that many listeners can relate to.
