Kim was also known by the stage names Hero Jaejoong (in South Korea), Jejung (ジェジュン) (in Japan), and 英雄在中 (영웅재중) (in China). Kim is now using Kim Jae-joong (JYJ) for his activities.

Kim has branched out to act in dramas including Sunao ni Narenakute, Protect the Boss, and most recently Dr. Jin, Triangle and in films such as Heaven's Postman and Jackal is Coming. He was also the Executive Director for JYJ's 2011 Worldwide Tour and the 2011 LG Whisen Rhythmic All Stars.

In January 2013 he released his first EP, titled "I", followed by a full length album, "WWW" in October the same year.

Jaejoong did mention on the show that he had the rock 'disease' before so it is REALLY interesting to see how differently he sings this song now and how he sang it before enlisting. He sings it less nasally and with NO 'rock like' distortion on his voice, whereas he did do that before in almost every performance! He kills it in both ways though!

The technique Jaejoong uses in his voice is sometimes in good support, but sometimes it's not optimal because of his breath.His breath can be said to be short maybe because he is a smoker and as he ages and becomes a factor in his breathing, he can still maximize the technique he uses here.

@@manusiaselayaknya I think if you were to compare in some of his current live Japanese songs he sang the way he belts are rather painful for me to digest lol..its like he lost his support and is pushing..and not belting with ease ( I wonder if this is the right musical term lol)..Yes, I do think that long-term smoking does affect singing...He seems fine belting for Korean songs. I have seen him saying that in an interview, he did change his techniques depending on if its a Korean or Japanese songs and that he was advised not to use the same techniques ..

Well .. JJ has been singing this song for us for complete 7 years and few months but a gem masterpiece like this never gets old especially when the singer is fascinating like Jaejoong I swear I was saying perfect about his vocals since 2009 Love in the Ice but I dunno how he keeps becoming more perfect and don't ask me how because I sure as heck dunno.
