I thought about the line “my fans hold my two hands” a lot.

This is my first time watching it, and I realized that the reason I stay close to way too many people, and when I meet new people I tell them everything about me in an effort to relate to them, is because I want to be there for them.

A couple years ago, depression hit me and I fell, hard. Everybody, yet nobody was there, for a year. I never told anyone, I did not want to burden people. And then, I told somebody, an outpouring of emotions, anger and sadness. They were an internet friend, we weren’t even that close but it lifted such a huge weight off my chest. I was still depressed, but not as low as before. I then discovered kpop, or BTS in particular and heard RM’s solos, and it boosted me out of depression. I was so happy, but it left scars and I occasionally relapsed.

I did not want this to happen to anyone, ever, and I gained the trust of many friends, hoping they’d confide in me incase anything ever happened to them.

Thank you Bang Yongguk oppa (he’s older than me, so gotta keep the honorifics!) for making me realize this.

This man is a genius. The world needs raw artists like these, that don't foam at the mouth when they are offered fame.

Yongguk doesn't demand respect from anyone, yet many Babys and people who don't even know BAP give it to him because he is just that good. He's not one to beat around the bush. He's not one to play cat and mouse.

The video, however simple, was very powerful. The black silhouette (my interpretation) being Yongguk's shadow in a empty world. No individuality, just a white background and thus conformity, parading as purity ridiculing Yongguk and other "outcasts" yet itself hiding behind the blinds of "good, purity and justice". A black sheep among the flock, an outsider among the crowd.

This is why I respect this man so much. I don't even have to touch on his lyrics because they speak volumes on their own.

If you see this Yongguk, know that as a recent fan, I believe you are one of the most talented and brilliant artists I have ever come across. Keep doing what you love, and the fans will come. There will always be an ear to listen to what your inner voice has to say. Gamsahamnida.

Whenever I feel down I listen to this masterpiece, it resonated with me so much, even the MV itself. You're not distracted by visuals, the majority of the video is Yongguks shadow against a white background. The message of this song is so black and white, at that moment in time all ideas of the perfect idols, the visuals, the makeup, the outfits, it was all thrown away. At that moment in time he was Yongguk and only Yongguk. It was all pure emotion. I love that about Yongguks songs, they're about being human, about the anxieties we face in a world that demands perfection, about the struggles faced by many people. More importantly, they're about Yongguk as a person, they aren't bragging about how much money he has in his bank or how much better he is than everyone else. They speak about how human he is, how he has insecurities, how there are eyes constantly judging without a break. Yongguk may be an Idol, he may be an artist, but above all that he's another human being. And that's why his pieces resonate with me so much, they're raw emotions from the mind.

I've listened to the song a lot but watching with the mv is like a part that fits with the song, the whole emotion hes portraying with it comes together. I love him so much. To this day, I always find myself turning back to him and his music at some point. On a light level, he was the first kpop idol that caught my attention back in 2013/14. On a deeper level, his music and messages move me to tears. The sound might not always be my style, but it's his emotions that he pours so deeply and fully into the music that resonates. He's not always on my mind, but I think he's always in my heart because each time I think of him I feel the same wave.

Because all these years, all everyone really cared about was appearances. It's the nature of Kpop, everything being carefully manufactured, down to the last word, the last thread on his body. Few were allowed to see who Yongguk really was; in fact, Yongguk wasn't allowed to be himself.

This, is his answer. Look beyond what the eyes can see, so you can focus on what your ears hear, what your heart feels. All his emotions are spilling out now, flooding, raw, letting us know what he really went through.

Yongguk isn't sorry for being himself. He's smart - he wanted out, and he took his dongsaengs with him before it was too late. Though I do feel a twinge, because but only tor Yongguk choosing to go down the road of fame, I wouldn't have known of his intellect or artistry.

Before I watched this video, I played on audio and then when I watched it (good thing I was on mobile that it has English captions in the lyrics), I cannot stop playing. The piano was like in harmony but the lyrics broke my heart. Then when I kept playing several times, I just got tear up and cry. I felt like I just want someone hold on and I also want to hold his hand. I don't even know that when I was in the mood of EXO or Baymax until now.

There are idols we admire for very superficial reasons; some are handsome, have a melodic voice or a great stage perfomance. But this guy... This guy speaks through music, his soul can be felt everytime he composes a song. I "met" Bang YongGuk when B.A.P debuted and at first my impressions were superficial, "oh, what a sexy powerful voice". But as I kept listening, I realized I had the wrong idea of him (and B.A.P too). Bang Yong Guk doesn't think music is just a way to earn money, he doesn't make music to just entertain people. He uses parts of him to make music, it's as if every song carries a bit of his experiences throughout life. He's not one of those usual shallow artists that media sells. He's a deep person that struggles and fight to live. And that's why I admire this guy so much. Never give up, leader. Never. I am in the other side of the globe, but your voice was able to reach me. That's how powerful you are. Be strong.

I may not understand the language he is speaking, but I understand his emotion, his passion, & his heart. I understand that he has faith in humanity, I understand that he's striving to change the world even if he's only just one person. I don't understand his language and I admit, it frustrates me more than anything, but I don't have to understand, because I know that he's Bang Yongguk, and what he speaks is the truth. If he's able to make my heart break, & tears roll down my face, even tho I don't know what he's saying, all in just a music video of black and white, not even showing his facial expressions, than I know that my brain doesn't need to understand, language is not a barrier, the mind is. i just love this song so much. yes, the meaning is very poignant and the subject matter is quite upsetting but when you can relate to it, it means so, so much and hits home much harder. this song means so much to me. yongguk means so much to me. i think it's a very beautiful thing when you're reminded that even idols, celebrities, these people we hold to such high esteem are still people like us; their struggles are the same, their emotions are the same, we are all still the same. yongguk is an artist, nothing less, and his mind is so beautiful. the lyrics of yamazaki actually reflect the lyrics of this song but in a more 'devil-may-care' way, like he's finally learned to deal with how he's feeling and overcome them, and can now even mock them, in a way. but he never forgets where he came from, and i love that so much. i'm so glad to see him grow as an artist, as a musician, as a performer, as a person. i have nothing but respect for him and will be listening to his music for a loooong time.

He is soo soo tired. I felt every ounce of what he spit out. Truthfully, I been this way everyday and cover up with a smile on my face. Anyone will never know behind closed doors of what hes been through and I won't either. People will tell you to be positive but its easier said than done. We all live in a world that don't pay attention to anyone mentally. This was at a time when BAP were in a mad place and this dropped the same night my grandad died, it helped me through the darkest night of my life and I'm back again 3 years later feeling the pain I never wanted myself but knowing the leader I found kpop through was feeling the same hurt me more however it showed me a strength I never knew existed in me. I started to listen bap's songs a year ago and they became my favourite group because of this man. Bang Yongguk taught me so much, starting from what easy things like what "passion" really means. This man gave me so many feelings and strength that it sounds ridiculous even to me sometimes considering that I don't even know him in person, but that's what it really is. I'm thankful to him and I'm grateful that he shares his music and his poetry with us.
This song makes my heart ache every time, because knowing how much he struggles really makes me feel useless. He did so much for me but I can't do shit for him. I'll just stay behind his back, quietly supporting him (and the rest of the group too, obviously). Hope they'll come back to italy soon, I didn't get to see them two years ago because I live 1200km away from Milan, but next time they'll come I will totally bring my ass to their concert. I need to see them.

I hate how stepped on this song is. Yongukk is such an amazing lyricist and rapper, and you can tell this song is his raw and uncut feelings. The lyrics in this are beautiful, and as someone with depression, it really hit hard. It deserves a lot more attention. Especially for what he's saying about companies.
This is exactly why I'm nervous about B.A.P signing on with TS again; as much as I'll be happy they're back, the way they treated them will never be forgiven and I'm worried that it'll happen again.

foreverVanney BAP filed a lawsuit against their company (TS ent) because they were barely ever given a rest, overworked to the point of being admitted to the hospital, and then the company forced daehyun (our main vocal) out of the hospital so he could perform. The members weren't even allowed to contact their families. BAP were also paid practically nothing (i'm not talking nothing to a celebrity; i mean not even minimum wage) and they had to pay for every expense (including their hospital fees) while the company made millions off their hard work and popularity at the time. And of course the company denied everything when the lawsuit was filed.
After a year + of being on hiatus, bap finally re-signed with ts (i think they were just sick of all the postponing court dates and ts dragging everything out and everything being so uncertain...ts might not be sm, but they're literally 6 average families suing a company that has millions, have paid people off to shut their mouths, as yongguk's lyrics say, and have connections). Things now are better but not good...the members still occasionally drop hints to the fans about things the company isn't letting them do/doing without telling them, and with their history fans are paying more attention to anything suspicious - daehyun's musical suddenly being canceled; yet another concert/world tour being announced (big $$$ opportunity for the company)...we love seeing them, but it's a lot of work and hard on them to be constantly traveling and performing around the world. They also miss out on fame opportunities in korea like musicals and dramas that want to cast them.

Honestly I don't know how they do it, I'd have broken down for less. It's things like this that make me really sad about the industry - I read about similar issues with sm and stardom entertainment. And to think that people like that benefit from the support for the people that they treat like shit is kinda sickening.

I don't like how people treat this like it was just a "depressing" or "sad" song. He threw his heart down into this, and you can tell he was in a lot of pain. Stop saying things like "he should collab with xxx since he's good at writing sad things". This could have been an extremely serious issue - depression is a real and very serious danger, especially when you're being mistreated - and I hope that he is doing better now and that he is prepared for what will happen if he goes back.
Also, I still cry every time I hear this song. It's absolutely fantastic. At least out of his pain came something inspiring and beautiful.
