We dropped second ball, CS
We are revolution
Then started again
In Seoul to the sky (to the sky)
(what?)
Everybody say no!
We roll (we roll) we roll (we roll) we roll

Make money, good money

The first verse of BTS's song N.O starts with the members introducing themselves and how they dropped their second ball in Counter-Strike, signifying that they failed but started their revolution again. The second verse starts with the question, "Can a good house and car make you happy?" which is then followed by doubts about whether their parents would be happy. The members then talk about how they've lost their dreams and are stuck in an endless cycle of school and PC rooms. The pressure to be the top student creates a rift between their dreams and reality, leading them to question who turned them into studying machines and labeled them as failures if they didn't do well enough.
The chorus repeats the phrase "Everybody say no" and urges listeners to refuse to settle for a future of mere survival; they need to fight for their dreams and not let their lives be trapped by societal pressures. The second verse continues the feelings of frustration and helplessness as the members talk about their desire to play and eat and tear their school uniforms apart. The song's bridge features a monologue from an adult talking about how tough times will pass and how it'll all be worth it in the end. However, the members' doubts and fears aren't resolved, leading to a final repetition of the chorus.
Overall, the song is a call to action, urging listeners to resist societal pressures and expectations while pursuing their passions and dreams. The members of BTS paint a bleak picture of the education system and the larger structure of society, highlighting the restrictions placed from a young age on young people and their constricting effect on their sense of self. The song encourages listeners to fight the normal, to reject what is expected of them, and to be true to oneself.
