These are simple times, I've a simple mind. Yeah.
There are pictures I could take of you,
But you won't stand still, please stand still for you.
What's that sound, what's breaking?
It's just the crack in that smile you're faking.
Don't tempt me, I'm evil.
Can't fight the feeling.
Your money or your life,
Your reasons or your rights,
The way you talked all night and then just left me
There.
You're brilliant or your bland,
And do you understand?
Oh, oh, oh, no.
There are pains I could take for you,
There are ways to live, there's a way to live so
Follow.
There are faults I could find in you,
But I'm tired out. I'm tired out.
Freeze.
That's gunfire, who's bleeding?
It's just this walking wounded life we're leading.
That's gunfire, I'm bleeding.
I can't stop, can't fight the feeling.
Your money or your life,
Your reasons or your rights,
The way you talked all night and then just left me
There.
You're brilliant or your bland,
And do you understand?
Oh, oh, oh, no.
Tonight, tonight, tonight I feel along.
The song "Freeze" by (We Are) Performance is a reflection on the complexities and contradictions of relationships, and the duality of human emotions. The lyricist appears to be grappling with conflicting feelings towards their partner, oscillating between love and loss, admiration and resentment. The opening lines speak of the sacrifices they could make for their loved one, but also the limitations of their own emotional and intellectual capacity. The plea to their partner to "stand still" for them evokes a sense of desperation and helplessness, as if the relationship is slipping away from their grasp.
The chorus of the song is a repeated ultimatum, the singer giving their partner a choice between their "money or your life, your reasons or your rights." This could be interpreted as a commentary on the commodification of relationships or the unequal power dynamics that exist between partners. The phrase "can't fight the feeling" suggests the singer is resigned to their fate, unable to resist their emotions despite the pain it may cause.

@Isabel Vaccari right?? Some think we carry binoculars to see
StarPrince HJ
@lidia to be honest, I'd rather have a fullcam than the random zoom-ins that completely obscure the choreography. It's so frustrating imo
