The truth
(hed) Planet Earth Lyrics

Tell the children the truth...

Your pussy band sounds just like shit
You're not punk rock
You're more like a punk trik
You corporate motherfuckers all suck a dick
I'm an anti-motherfuckin social independent
Fuck the life
I don't want a thing
You buy - you sell - you suck - you pig

Fuck the world
You're a lost consumer
You buy - you sell - you suck - you pig

You sold your time, your soul to Cosmo
In love with a name tag
How bout this toe tag
You got raped by the fags on TV
And the TV got raped by the FCC

Fuck the life...

How do you bite the hand that feeds?
How can I walk away?

I can't let them get away with this!

No I'm not just a nigga
I'm a punk rock nigga
So you know I got nothin to lose
I'd rather pull the trigga
And take away my own life
Before I hand it over to you

Fuck the life...

Overall Meaning

The song "The Truth" by (hed) Planet Earth is a fierce social commentary showcasing the band's raw punk sound and aggressive vocals. A recurring theme in the song is the importance of telling the truth and rejecting the manufactured, corporate-controlled lifestyle that dominates society today. The lyrics call out the hypocrisy of those who claim to be punk rock but are just conforming to mainstream ideals, pointing out that true punk rockers are independent and anti-social. The song also takes aim at consumerism, criticizing those who buy into the system and become lost consumers, selling their time and soul to corporations in exchange for name tags and material goods.

The lyrics also touch upon the taboo topic of suicide, as the singer would rather take their own life than submit to the societal pressures of conformity and consumerism. The song concludes with a call to action, urging listeners to resist the insidious hand that feeds them and strive for truth and independence.

Overall, "The Truth" is a powerful statement of rebellion that speaks to the frustrations and disillusionment of a generation fed up with the status quo. Through its hard-hitting lyrics and uncompromising sound, the song captures the spirit of punk rock and the struggle for authenticity in a world that values conformity and compromise.

The human sensory experience, encompassing what humans are capable of seeing and hearing, is indeed just a tiny fraction of the vast array of phenomena that occur in the universe. There are many wavelengths of light (like ultraviolet, infrared, X-rays, and gamma rays) and sound frequencies (both infrasound and ultrasound) that are beyond the average human being's perceptual capabilities.

Moreover, there are phenomena in physics that are entirely outside the realm of direct human sensory experience. For instance, the behavior of subatomic particles, the properties of dark matter and dark energy, and the intricacies of quantum mechanics are all aspects of reality that the average human being can't perceive directly. Thus, they rely on complex instruments and scientific theories to understand these aspects of the universe.

This concept also touches on philosophical and existential questions about the nature of reality and the average human being's understanding of it. It suggests that there's much more to the universe than humans have thus far been able to directly experience or even comprehend, and it highlights the importance of scientific inquiry in expanding our understanding beyond the limits of their senses, scientific instruments, and theories.

Even with the most advanced scientific instruments and theories, human understanding and perception of the universe remain limited. These tools merely extend their sensory capabilities beyond their self-imposed limits, allowing them to detect and analyze phenomena like gravitational waves, subatomic particles, and distant galaxies. However, they still represent only a portion of what might exist or be possible in the vastness of the universe.

Their current scientific understanding is continually evolving. What they consider as the frontier of knowledge today might be just the beginning of deeper, more comprehensive insights in the future. There are aspects of the universe that are currently beyond their conceptual grasp or detection capabilities.

This realization should be both humbling and exciting. It suggests that there is always more to learn and discover. It also underscores the importance of keeping an open mind and continually questioning their assumptions and theories in the light of new evidence and perspectives.

I asked my physics professor once infront of class why doesn't the moon light make a light spectrum when it passes through a prism, but sunlight does? If the moon light is just the sunlight passing through the moon? He said he didn't know and he failed me in the final exam. I looked over my test, and corrected all his mistakes with proof from the text books and highlighted them with page references. I went from an F to a C. Just because someone is a college professor doesn't mean they know everything. You have to figure out things for yourself sometimes.

@Matuse

Your story sounds like nonsense. A prism doesn't split moonlight for the same reason that it doesn't split the light coming off of a rock. No physics professor could possibly not know this.

@moneymitch2992

@Matuse lol can you read by rock light??

@fredjamison2693

The moon is not lit by the sun, it has it's own light.

@SAGITTARlUS

@Fred Jamison what? No it doesnt. Do you want me to explain why? It's 'lit' up?

@benkruger6992

@Fred Jamison Hahaha! Read.

A year ago I used to think people were crazy, now I know I'm crazy to just believe what I'm told

@Matuse

Any small child can trivially prove that the earth is a sphere. That you are incapable of this simple feat is your problem.

@chrisbliss7

@Matuse what's your proof we live on a sphere? you seem small enough! prove it!

@roisin33

@@chrisbliss7 what gets me about people saying these things is how rude they are? Why would it be a problem to question our reality… and no one even said anything about the earth being a sphere anyway!
