After heavily publicized legal battles with their former manager Lou Pearlman and former record label Bertelsmann Music Group, the group's second album, No Strings Attached (2000), sold over one million copies in one day and 2.42 million copies in one week, which was a record for over fifteen years. NSYNC's first two studio albums were both certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Celebrity (2001) debuted with 1.8 million copies in its first week in the US. Singles such as "Bye Bye Bye", "This I Promise You", "Girlfriend", "Pop" and "It's Gonna Be Me" reached the top 10 in several international charts, with the last being a US Billboard Hot 100 number one. In addition to a host of Grammy Award nominations, NSYNC has performed at the World Series, the Super Bowl and the Olympic Games, and sang or recorded with Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, Phil Collins, Celine Dion, Aerosmith, Nelly, Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, Mary J. Blige, Alabama, and Gloria Estefan. The group has received eight Grammy Award nominations.
NSYNC last recorded new material in 2002. The five members have reunited a couple of times, including at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards and to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The band completed five nationwide concert tours and has sold over 70 million records, becoming one of the best-selling boy bands in history. Rolling Stone recognized their instant success as one of the Top 25 Teen Idol Breakout Moments of all time. NSYNC is set to release their first new song in over 20 years, "Better Place", for the upcoming animated movie, Trolls Band Together, which Timberlake stars in.

See what you want to see
Believe in yourself, just believe in yourself
You can go where you want to go
Do what you want to do
Believe in yourself, just believe in yourself
Some folks try to tell you there are things you shouldn't do
But what seems right to them ,quite often might be wrong for you
So be sure you try to climb before you get to scare you'll fall
You can be what you want to be
Learn what you want to learn
Believe in yourself, just believe in yourself
You can try what you need to try
No one should question why
Believe in yourself, just believe in yourself
Folks may say you're different
That you've gone and lost your senses
But the world is your to walk
Go ahead and leave the fences
And you'll see( and you'll see)
Believe in yourself
And the world belongs to you
You and me
And the world belongs to you and me
The lyrics to NSYNC’s song “Believe in Yourself” emphasizes on the importance of believing in oneself. The opening lyrics “Oh you can be what you want to be, see what you want to see, believe in yourself, just believe in yourself” sets the tone that the song is about self-confidence and following one's dreams. The song tries to motivate its listeners by telling them that anything is achievable, and it all starts with self-belief.
The pre-chorus of the song talks about how some people will try to hold you back from achieving your dreams by saying, “there are things you shouldn’t do, but you're not strong enough or smart enough at all.” This line suggests the presence of naysayers and discouragement that might come from external factors. The chorus serves as a reminder that we have the power to go where we want to go and do what we want to do; we just have to believe in ourselves. The song wants to inspire people to break free from societal norms and not let anyone’s opinions hold them back.
The ending of the song says, “Believe in yourself and the world belongs to you and me.” This line represents the hope that comes with believing in oneself. The song tries to motivate the listener by letting them know that they have great potential, and it all starts with confidence. The song encourages listeners to let go of fear, follow their hearts, and chase their life's dreams.
