Influences range greatly: McFetridge is heavily influenced by Elliott Smith, Mount Eerie, Pink Floyd, etc. Wiens is influenced by musicians like Mirah, Regina Spektor, and generally speaking choral arrangements. Shetterly is influenced by all of the above and seemingly obscure international artists.
The band recorded an EP that was released September 12 2008, entitled "From out in the Woods." the album consisted of 7 tracks, written primarily by McFetridge--but also featuring songs by Shetterly, and Wiens.
Shortly after releasing the EP, however, the band disbanded. Collegiate differences--including the distant University choice of one member of the band, as well as other such tensions resulted in a scrapping of the project.
McFetridge and Wiens have each continued to make their own solo music, and both have achieved a somewhat notable, though minimal success--reaching listeners through the medium of myspace, and other social networking sites.

This the realist shit that I was ever told
Learn to love the hate, embrace it
Get some money and fuck these hoes
That's that Mamba mentally in case you didn't know
I told them to hit my phone and I'll be on the way
They just hit my phone just to throw some shade
I achieved all this shit and all I did was prayed
She said you don't show love, bitch it go both ways
Resting for the week, that's why I been up for 7 days
While a bunch of sidekicks talking sideways
Y'all coming up in second, I'm in first place
You gotta have some armor where I from, where I from
You never duck action and you can't hide behind a gun
The city small as fuck so it ain't no where to run
The only fun I have is when I'm counting up them funds
The whole city know everything you done
Seems like my closet dawgs all out on bond
You gone lose whole lot more than you earn
Crazy things is everybody gets their turn
Gotta know your worth nigga
If y'all wanna do it we can do it on your turf nigga
Tryna take somebody shit would get you murked nigga
I can't help that Im a mother fuckin flirt
Bitches ain't shit the most important thing that I learned
Not all females but most of these bitches turnt
Ima make it rain while you throw some ass and dance
Look like you auditioning for You Got Served
Without the Lord I'll prolly be broke like your baby daddy
Without the Lord I'll prolly be in the streets or an addict
Point I'm tryna make is without God I wouldn't have it
If a nigga take what's mine then I got to let him have it
You gotta have some armor where I from, where I from
You never duck action and you can't hide behind a gun
The city small as fuck so it ain't no where to run
The only fun I have is when I'm counting up them funds
The whole city know everything you done
Seems like my closet dawgs all out on bond
You gone lose whole lot more than you earn
Crazy things is everybody gets their turn
Aye, aye, everybody get their turn
Everybody get their turn
You gotta have some armor where I from, where I from
You never duck action and you can't hide behind a gun
The city small as fuck so it ain't no where to run
The only fun I have is when I'm counting up them funds
The whole city know everything you done
Seems like my closet dawgs all out on bond
You gone lose whole lot more than you earn
Crazy things is everybody gets their turn
The Woods' song "God" is a powerful composition that touches on issues of self-affirmation, the importance of God, and the harsh realities of life in certain communities. The lyrics are raw and unfiltered, with the artist relaying their experiences growing up in a rough neighborhood. In the first verse, the artist talks about how they have never feared anyone, and how they have learned to embrace the hate directed towards them. They also talk about the importance of making money and engaging in sexual relationships. The artist then makes reference to the "Mamba mentality," a phrase popularized by former NBA player Kobe Bryant, which emphasizes the importance of hard work and resilience.
The second verse delves more into the harsh realities of life in the artist's community. They talk about how they have achieved success through prayer and hard work, and how they cannot hide behind a gun to solve their problems. The artist also discusses the prevalence of crime and how the people in their community often have to rely on themselves for protection. The song touches on themes of loyalty, with the artist noting how their "closet dawgs" are all out on bond. Despite the difficult circumstances, the artist remains focused on achieving success and counting their money.

I didn't watch the film but I'm following the theory as presented by someone in the comment section so tell me if I'm right or wrong.
so if one of these two died, the world would've been saved? I don't understand why he/she didn't choose to die.
Option 1- If you don't die, the world's gonna end so you'll die in the end.
Option 2- If you die, the world will be saved but you'll die in the end.
his/her fate has already been sealed either way lol.

we needa prequel to this shit so we can see how this all started and hopefully where the gods came from
Doge Wood
You don't need a prequel, my friend. Read the Ancient Roman epic called "Deucalion." It was based off of an Ancien Greek legend that was the basis for the "Great Flood" mentioned in the Old Testament.

I'm sure you can read about it in the Vatican's library.
Gamer's Theater
@Boneknock Grit who created the humans? The Titans isn't their fault they made us that way. For thousands of years, they made the humans feed innocents to monsters all for the sake of enjoyment.
Gamer's Theater
Nah because it is explained what they are. Crazy monsters who ruled the world dating back to the Permian period where they had humans sacrifice humans in bloody ways via monsters
Benji Morgan
The giant gods everyone is calling dumb is kind of brilliant. We (the audience) are the gods and we bash on scary movies that aren't cliche so since they broke the system the gods (us) destroyed the world or in this case (the film)
BazzbeTV
I know thats the idea behind the movie, but its the dumbest comparison ever.
LimeRicky
What a dumb opinion
Gamer's Theater
but people don't have on movies that break the cliches, original movies are praised. Such as The Invisible Man and Quiet Place
