Alone Again
.58 Lyrics

It's where we're going
And it's where we've been
In a little while from now
If I'm not feeling any less sour
I promise myself to treat myself
And visit a nearby tower
And climbing to the top I will throw myself off
In an effort to make it clear to who
What its like when your love shatters
Standing in the lurch in a church
Where people saying: "My God, that's tough
she's stood him up"
No point in us remaining
We might as well go home
As I did on my own
Alone again, naturally
To think that only yesterday
I was cheerful, bright and oh so gay
Looking forward to well wouldn't do
The role I was about to play
But as if to knock me down
My reality came around
And without so much, as a mere touch
Put me into little pieces
Leaving me to doubt
All about God and His mercy
Or if He really does exist
Why did He desert me in my hour of need
I truly am indeed
Alone again, naturally
It seems to me that there are more hearts
broken in the world that can't be mended
Left unattended
What do we do? Do we even care?
It's who we are
It's where we're going
And it's where we've been
Now looking back over the years
And whatever else has occurred
I remember I cried when my father died
Never wishing to hide the tears
And at sixty-five years old
My mother, God rest her soul,
Couldn't understand why the only man
She had ever loved had been taken
Leaving her to start with a heart so badly broken
Despite encouragement from me
No words were ever spoken
And when she passed away
I cried and cried all day
Alone again, naturally
Alone again, naturally
It's who we are
It's where we're going
And it's where we've been
The lyrics of .58's song Alone Again express feelings of isolation and loneliness that are prevalent in human experience. The opening lines "It's who we are, It's where we're going, And it's where we've been" suggest that these emotions are universal and can be felt by anyone, no matter where they come from or where they are headed. The lyrics describe a specific moment in time when the singer is contemplating jumping off a tower, feeling lost and brokenhearted after being left standing in the lurch at the altar. The singer is clearly struggling to find meaning and purpose in life.
The song's chorus repeats the phrase "Alone again, naturally," emphasizing the character's sense of isolation and abandonment. The song's lyrics then shift to focus on the loss of the singer's parents, highlighting the universal nature of grief and loss. The overall message of the song is that, despite our best efforts, we are all susceptible to loneliness, heartbreak, and grief. It is a poignant reminder that we need to cherish the people we have in our lives and appreciate the moments of happiness we experience.

No point in us remaining
There is no reason for us to stay any longer

I was cheerful, bright and oh so gay

Or if He really does exist
Doubting the presence of God
Why did He desert me in my hour of need
Feeling let down by God
I truly am indeed
I really am
Alone again, naturally
Feeling isolated and alone
It seems to me that there are more hearts
I've noticed that many people have broken hearts
Broken in the world that can't be mended
There are many broken hearts that cannot be fixed
Left unattended
Left without care or support
What do we do? Do we even care?
Are we willing to take action to help those with broken hearts?
Now looking back over the years
Reflecting on my life so far
And whatever else has occurred
And all that has happened in my life
I remember I cried when my father died
Recalling a painful memory of losing my father
Never wishing to hide the tears
Not trying to keep my emotions hidden
And at sixty-five years old
When my mother was an elderly woman
My mother, God rest her soul
My mother, who has passed away
Couldn't understand why the only man
Was struggling to cope with losing the love of her life
She had ever loved had been taken
Her beloved partner had passed away
Leaving her to start with a heart so badly broken
Leaving her to pick up the pieces of her broken heart
Despite encouragement from me
Despite my efforts to console her
No words were ever spoken
She could not bring herself to talk about it
And when she passed away
When she eventually died
I cried and cried all day
I was overcome with grief
Alone again, naturally
Once again feeling isolated and alone
Alone again, naturally
Feeling isolated and alone
It's who we are
Our identity shapes everything we do
It's where we're going
Our future path is defined by the decisions we make
And it's where we've been
Our past experiences affect our present and future

After adding powder, tap your palm against the stock near the lock to coax some of the powder into the bolster. Helps tremendously with hang fires and dry fires.

I shoot the 300 grain .54 caliber in my 42” 1-66 swamped Colerain barrel on a Early Virginia flintlock with 100 grains by volume of 2F Swiss and they work very well in this rifle. I have taken one cow elk (first) in Wyoming, 8 whitetail bucks, 6 whitetail doe (whitetail here in Texas) and a spike bull in 2020 in Wyoming with them. I just cast up a few more that ran 296-297 with this batch of “pure lead” for my 2023 antelope hunt back home in Wyoming. It should be an awesome hunt.

I've heard of people using 250gr REALs in the replica Dragoons and Ruger Old Army for hunting, reportedly over 40-45 grains of 3f.
@GunDrone
Thanks for the video. I have been shooting Lee R.E.A.L. bullets for years. I have my own mold cast my own. I shoot them in a .50 cal CVA bobcat. They work great. The other bullet i like is the Lee Maxie Ball. They make a short and long base mold for rifle and pistol or at least they used to. I dont really know if they offer both anymore. Its been years.

Thanks for watching!
