I was actually disappointed when you were explaining the mortal enemy request that you didnt actually mention the real obscure thing inside of this room that people actually dont know about. If you go all to the right in it, there is a lonely cliff at the edge of the map. Entering and exiting the room had a small chance to make a shadow silhouette appear on this cliff, a humanoid figure of some kind staring at Frisk.

I actually discovered the tree in the water puddle thing a long time ago, but I didn't know it was that secret. Strangely, I found it by dumping the water during the epilogue portion, which makes the tree grow instantly after the last cup. Because of that, I assumed that was the intended way of seeing it.

The legendary artifact room has multiple interactions most people will never see.

If you get the dimensional boxes from Alphys and backtrack to the artifact room, attempting to use them will give you the narraration "The box is aclog with the hair of a dog."

Leave it to Shayy Undertale to actually make more than half of the facts things I had no clue about despite being in the community for several years, keeping up with most theory content, and watching probably dozens of full playthroughs of both games. I feel like I learn something new about these games every time I watch someone play them, whether it's a new piece of dialogue or a choice I wasn't aware of impacting the story. i think you would fight asgore instead, the game constantly says that he would absorb the souls in the genocide route, but you get there and he suddenly doesn't know anything, it's almost like toby just decided to not make an asgore fight for whatever reason and didnt even give an explanation as to why

There’s also an alternate slowed down version of Snowdin Town that wasn’t even covered in this video and it’s if you exhaust all the encounters in Snowdin and then go to Town but that you never initiated a genocide route by killing everything in the ruins, so you’re still on Neutral but a very dark version of it.

I’ve replayed Undertale so many times and a few months ago in my most recent play through I did the dumping the water from to cooler thing. I was so shocked and proud of myself for finding something I’ve never seen before in this game. Also great list the only secrets I knew were the water cooler, lion person, and background stickman.

Nice video! I didn't know about some of these. I did, however, know about the puddle tree, the little guy in Snowdin, the transgender lion monster, and the slowed down music that plays in Snowdin Town. Though, I thought that the guy in the house was just common knowledge!
And, just like everyone else, I really wish that "Mortal Enemies" text remained in the game.
I'll also definitely have to try the "Hotfinenticute" thing in the Mettaton battle. (Even though I'm not the fastest person at typing in the world...)

I really enjoyed this video. I've been a diehard Undertale fan for years and learnt almost every fact about it. I knew six of 'em, which made me slightly pleasantly surprised.
In particular, though, I've always found the Sowdin's slowed-down theme as even more morbid than the toomuch one, because it is a more natural transition in tone than straight-up facing the "But nobody came…" line. First time I encountered it, I had a minor chill down my spine unlike with the normal alert.

If it hasn't been mentioned in anyone's videos, you can actually end the Mettaton EX fight early without him losing a single limb. You have to get at least six pieces of armor (including the sticky bandage), but NOT equip anything before the fight. Each piece of armor gives a massive 1.5k boost. So you could end the fight as early as just after the essay round if you you have the bandanna, tutu, ribbon, cowboy hat, and cloudy glasses. Even without the cowboy hat, that's still 7.5k over five rounds. Add to what you earn from shooting and your starting rating, and using either the 350 or 360 point essay answer, it's an easy clear.

It is possible to get the slowed-down Snowdin track other than not running into but nobody came screen before you reach Snowdin during a neutral route, let me explain. You don't have to do a genocide run to get the "nobody came" fight screen. Although there isn't a death counter during a neutral route at the save points, you can still kill enough monsters to get the "nobody came" fight screen, you just won't be able to see how much you have left at the save points and you will have to count it yourself. Course if you will kill everybody in the snowy area, you'll have to spare or just don't kill enough monsters in the Ruins. I only knew about the mortal enemy request, the text from the lever in the ruins, and hotfinenticute. Just goes to show how many easter eggs are unknown to a lot of people even after 6 years of the game's release.

I thought myself to be prettty well educated about this game, but I didnt know 6 of these. The Gaster door sounds like something for an absolutely ground shaking secret that would be revealed if this happened after a set amount of times, only to actually in reality be something Toby forgot to account for. If you got more spicy deep secrets I would absolutely love to see more of these.

Damn, I only knew about the Genocide Snowdin track, Snowdin house, Hotland tree, superfast wrong and "Stop it" easter eggs. Other easter eggs are pretty crazy. For the first time in a long time, an Undertale easter eggs video surprised me. I'm still trying to understand how you found these lmao. Good job finding these secrets man, great video!

I actually knew a few of these. Like the Snowdin Town music slowing down I experienced on my first Genocide Run. I experience the Lion NPC’s dressing-up at the end of the Pacifist route. And, I actually encountered the rare double Gaster door (but I just assumed that you were just allowed to renter the door. There goes my chance to be a big shot with a triple Gaster 😢). I actually have been called by Sans about my Refrigerator (and thought it was funny enough to actually go and check).
To be honest, I have only reset twice (3 times if you include Omega sending you back). Once for Pacifist (which somehow felt easier the first time. Like, I first tried every boss without a guide!) that I originally messed by forgetting to go to True Lab and then I redid it, next was for Genocide (which I got to tell. Sans on Xbox is hell), the last time was to do Pacifist again (which I struggled a lot with).
I never realized just how lucky I was in the game. Anyways, I haven’t touched the game in 3 years. Wanted to let them live their happy ending an what-not, even if Chara is still their, I doubt anything too bad will really happen.

The LOV20 thing being weaker probably wasn’t intended, even though your stats aren’t actually what they show, lore wise LOV19 does 10 million damage while LOV20 does 10 billion damage, 1000x more damage

Random hypothesis on why the tape room can play above-ground lab music: It was originally intended to be attached to the main lab (maybe behind a different locked door that would have been opened after leaving the true lab) but got moved underground at some point during development.

My theory on that is that the tape originally stopped and started the music rather than just pausing it, so Toby assigned that room a music load for that purpose and just quickly used a room ID with the word "lab" in it. 😅

Idk if this is well known or not, but if you go to the right side of the apron room in Hotland, you'll see a small platform, and you can rarely encounter an npc standing on said platform. Looks like the core enemies (dark figures). I've only seen two instances of it being shown online, but I'm sure it's real since a datamined layout of this room i found online includes this npc too

I actually found the slowed down snowdin theme because the Papyrus fight is right after Snowdin, so the last area to complete genocide is before snowdin, and snowdin has a save point.

I don't know if anyone know this or not but you can speed up yourself when you walk in the castle view room in the Waterfall.

By hold press the UP and DOWN buttons (the same as you do the murder dance) and then press LEFT or RIGHT, then you can see that you walk really fast in that room (you will see it clearly if Monster Kid is around with you in that time).
