Kwon JungYeol is the main vocalist in the group and plays the jembe, a type of percussion played with bare hands. Yoon CheolJong plays the guitar. The name of the band '10cm' means the difference in the heights of two members. Since the debut release, they released one single Americano in 2010, and the first official album 1.0 in February, 2011. The album sold over 20,000 copies which Korean music critics called remarkable considering consumers' tendency to download music online. The band also held its first concert in February, 2011.

In 10cm's song "Rebirth," the lyrics express conflicting emotions towards someone. The first two lines present feelings of both thinking about and hating the person. The frozen feelings that once existed within the singer begin to thaw unexpectedly. The lyrics suggest that this unexpected transformation is unintentional and not allowed by the singer's heart.
As the song progresses, the singer sees their own heart rising like a sea creature from the depths of the ocean. This revival sparks joy in anyone who witnesses it. The next two lines again present conflicting emotions of expecting and pushing away the person in question. However, this time, the previously frozen emotions begin to allow for forgiveness without the singer's realization. Just as leaves fall to the ground and flowers bloom in their place, forgiveness takes the place of anger and hatred.
In the final stanza, the singer admits that their efforts cannot penetrate the target's heart. Even though the singer may not be able to impact their heart, the singer believes that anyone who witnesses the revival of their own heart will be happy.

의외로 사람들이 잘 모르는 10cm곡.. 가사가 진짜 맘 아픔.. 가사에 헤어졌다, 고백했다, 사랑얘기가 하나도 없는데 .. 시 같다. 특히 "그대의 마음까지는 나의 생각대론 녹여 내릴 수가 없네" 이 부분은 애절함.
