Hello Mary Lou

Goodbye heart

Sweet Mary Lou

I'm so in love with you
I knew Mary Lou

We'd never part

So hello Mary Lou

Goodbye heart

You passed me by one sunny day

Flashed those big brown eyes my way

And oo I wanted you forever more

Now I'm not one that gets around

I swear my feet are stuck to the ground

And though I never did meet you before

Hello Mary Lou

Goodbye heart

Sweet Mary Lou

I'm so in love with you

I knew Mary Lou

We'd never part

So hello Mary Lou

Goodbye heart

I said hello Mary Lou

I saw your lips I heard your voice

Believe me I just had no choice

Wild horses couldn't make me stay away

I thought about a moonlit night

My arms about good an' tight

That's all I had to see for me to stay

Hello Mary Lou

Goodbye heart

Sweet Mary Lou

I'm so in love with you

I knew Mary Lou

We'd never part

So hello Mary Lou

Goodbye heart

Mrs Blue Sky that happened to me about a Month ago 🥰 I was a child when he died, but remember that night...the reports vividly. I knew a bit of his music from seeing him appear on various TV shows at the time (Solid Gold, etc) & had to have heard it (not realizing) on the oldies stations my Mom & Grandma listened to. I absolutely loved "Garden Party." I still do today, but "Hello Mary Lou" has become one I play at least a few times a week. Timeless voice & music. ❤ Love your name..."Mr. Blue Sky" is one of my favorite ELO songs, a great deal of meaning & from the year I was born 😄
