But part of being under a government that leads with basic supposed rights, inalienable; I would like to be left alone. But if they are not going to do it, then at least own it. Here we had Presidents Bush, Obama, and who knows who since that openly told the public over and over again that they wouldn’t stoop to this level. And they did.

And I hear all about the wonderful goodness of my government and that I should trust them… But where shall a line really be set and who will set it? They are spying against terrorism today, tomorrow they spy against people too left or too right; or too anything they do not like.

This is the point. They can pave this road based on good intentions, but where does it lead? A congresswoman tried to keep this thing from turning into an Orwell novel, and failed. So we get Snowden… and he did what they deserved. He turned him into the general public through the media, and unless this is only one of many secrets he let out…. Then the bureaucracy hates him because he threatened their power which was disguised under a blanket of lies.

The polarization of the American public has grown, and threats to this country are more than ever are from within. Eventually a radical will be in office and it will be because of the spying on those in power.

This already happens to some extent. But the public needs to know what the internal government is doing so that it doesn’t operate as well as the Stalinists or the Nazis did in the 1940s with newer superior technologies.

That is my opinion why.
Not really worried about my personal data, more worried that pre-election cheating will be performed. I was alive when Nixon left office for similar matters.

This is the Core of White Supremacist ideology.

"What Others Say" (Appeal to Populism)
The abuser tells the victim what other people "think" about the victim, the abuser and/or the situation on whole. Also known as an appeal to populism, the basis of Authoritarian Communism, and Cults, "if many believe it then it must be true" (whether people actually agree with the position and whether it is true or not). Bolshevism itself means "the Majority" and is no different to Fascist appeals to a "Moral Majority" Patriotism is a form of Authoritarian Communism.

Other than direct contradiction and disbelief other strategies for Gaslighting include Begging the Question, and the use of Strawman arguments; refuting a reframed argument different from the one actually under discussion while not recognizing or acknowledging the distinction.

Through the exercise of overwhelming a subject with countless contradicting premises and subjective terms a game of Pigeon Chess is played to deter criticism and break down a person's defences, until they no longer trust their own feelings, and rely solely on an outside source for direction. This is clearly demonstrated in the Maga cult, and is repeated in the convoluted dogma and magical thinking of Evangelism, New Age Spirituality, Ancient Aliens, and Graham Hancock. Always alluding to a secret to be revealed, but always in vague nebulous terms and undefined benefits of a far away place with no means to verify one way or the other.

Effectively they all play the same role of an Enlightened Guru with deep understanding of life matters who can solve all your problems. It's likely no coincidence Reagan emptied the mental health services in the US, over half of those in Jail and living on the streets have undiagnosed ADHD.

The only way to get what you want is to make citizens scared so they don't push back. Not all conspiracies are real. But they do happen. George Bush and the Bin laden family (his half brother, etc) were in business together since the 70s. They were one of the richest families in the world. CIVIL WAR?

I find myself asking as I reflect on my childhood as I realize as an adult that I was failed by my government. I was born in 1990 into the custody of the State of Oregon while my biological mother was in a State Funded rehabilitation center just around the corner from where I live now. There came a breaking point in my mother's life and our relationship when she was refused additional support from the State. It was at this point when I was placed into foster homes based on criteria set forth by standards of the State of Oregon. The parent had to be married and be christian. There was an additional criteria for childern like me who were Native American Indian and that is called ICWA (Indian Child Welfare Act). This act appeared well intended but in practice it was detrimental. This criteria made it to where I could only be formally adopted out to mothers and fathers or families who would qualify under the State Standard but also had to be part of a federally recongnized indian tribe. I was finally placed with a family of whom met a portion of the criteria and of whom contained tribes with historic blood feuds with one another. And that foster family took me away from the State of Oregon and took me to Oklahoma where that family became in violation of the State of Oregon's authority when failing to file annual money reports. The Ottowa County Sheriffs Office failed time and again when they failed to bring my guardians to justice and free me from their hostile control. My guardians were issued warrants out of Pendleton Oregon by the Umatilla County Courthouse but still no justice.

I don't believe there is any compensation great enough to compensate me for what happened. But I value all the 18+ years I suffered at the hands of the State to be to the tune of $6B.

I lost my job due to this program. The first thing that the government went after were any employees in government facilities, especially those near the Pentagon, that posed any kind of question mark or who behaved in any kind of suspicious way even if the people were obviously harmless. I was working as a contractor at the Patent Office, and some time in 2002 I would sometimes, during my lunch break, search for information related to the Echelon Project -- which was the NSA massive satellite dishes operation posted in areas around the globe that allowed the NSA to spy on phone calls and internet communications. That termination ended my work experience in the federal government. And this program really did not have much to do with security. It was a knee jerk reaction due to the close relation that large corporations, many of which were headquartered in the Twin Towers, have with our government, and the defense industry were just looking for a way to expand their business, which is war, and it was this surveillance system which the powers that be were hoping would find more enemies to go to war with, and if they had to greatly expand the meaning of what constitutes an enemy, then that was not a problem for them. We have seen the enemy, and it is us.

There are a lot of fictional details in the show as opposed to irl, but it's clear that the producers did their homework. I'd definitely recommend everybody to watch person of interest, its seriously worth your time.

My dad worked for the fbi and was doing audits around the same time. He also found that they were doing illegal wiretaps without fisa warrants. He informed his supervisor and 1 day before his 1 year probation period was up they walked him out of the building and he was fired. His supervisor was promoted and moved out of the department. Anyone who is in their 70's will remember how easy it was to travel at one time in America. Nobody searched your luggage or your purse. You could get to the airport with your ticket and just run onto your plane. I remember when it started to change. One time I got to the airport and the agent asked to look inside my purse. I was shocked. This was around 1978. Things were still pretty low key until the 90's. Now it is like we live in a police state.

I told them in South Korea, the USA, California, and China I continued up to and through the night of September 10, 2001. That's not all, so you better buckle your seat belts and fasten your helmets. It is going to be a rough ride. The big bumps will be spaced out, and all the more catastrophic and spectacular because of it. A word. The last pre 9-11 warning was an anonymous phone call to the law the night of September 10, 2001 in Fort Pierce, Florida. See if you can pry the recording or information out of those crooks. @@ed2176 I think I know what you mean. I have told people what was going to happen many many times, not just 911. My experience is this. Every time you tell somebody something is going to happen they kind of scoff at it and laugh it off or ignore it. After it happens they do not acknowledge. Western Society breeds and ossified Prejudiced idea about knowing what's going to happen in the future without having any reason for knowing it. I was able to tell about 120 people in detail about the Attacks of September 11th 2001 over a time span of 4 years. That included people in law enforcement. You see the attacks happened anyway. People are very good at reacting to something after it happens. They simply are not open to trying to prevent something before it happens when there is no tangible visible evidence that it will happen. I have had many experiences with it.
