2) 16bit are west London dubstep producers Kidnappa (Eddie Jefferys) and DRT (Jason Morrison). The collaboration is relatively new and they have been putting on some temperature-checking early sets around the world and getting their dubplates spun out by some of the scene's big names like DJ Chef and Rusko. They have had releases on Boka Records, Destpub, Urban Essentials, Sequence, VeriLo, Dub & Run, Audio Phreaks, as well as two releases on the legendary Southside Dubstars.
In late 2009 16 Bit gained a fair bit of attention with the release of their Chainsaw Calligraphy remix EP, featuring artists like Jakes and Kanji Kinetic. Shortly following, news that a 16 Bit remix would appear on Noisia's highly anticipated Machine Gun + Remixes EP surfaced, which eventually made the top of the Beatport dubstep/d&b charts with the rest of the EP. Later in early 2010, 16 Bit's The Milky Pie Mix was voted best mix of the year in Dubstepforum.com's Dubstep Awards, as well as the group coming in close second to Joker for best dubstep producers. 2010 also saw 16 Bit's track Jump feature in a highly circulated Nike ad, and a remix appearance on Plan B's She Said EP.

Where Are You
BAND: 16 Bit
Released as a single in 1986.
Written by Luca Anzilotti, later of Snap! From the sleeve notes,
Where Are You?
Man was not sick
Until he sold out to the Devil.
I know the remedy for your sickness.
Where are you?
Where are you?
I've lost you
If you are a child of God,
If you want to set you free and heal your disease,
Join hands and let us stand up to the Evil.
Where are you?
Where are you?
I've lost you
I've lost you
Even if you're not a believer in the Almighty,
It's never too late to confess your sins.
Come with me I will show you the way!
Where are you?
Where are you?
I've lost you
Do you want to waste the rest of your precious life
With sex and drugs?
Oh no, God have mercy!
Remember you will pay on judgement day.
The time has come to exorcise the Devil
in you!
Where are you?
Where are you?
I've lost you
The lyrics of 16 Bit's "Where Are You?" are a call to arms against the corruption of the world by the Devil's influence. The opening lines state that man was not sick until he sold himself out to the Devil, implying that we've brought this upon ourselves. The singer knows the solution to this problem and calls out to the listener, asking "Where are you?" The repetition of this question is used to convey a sense of desperation and urgency in finding lost souls. The chorus is repeated several times throughout the song, highlighting the message of searching for those who have become lost.
The song seems to be targeted at those who are lost and in need of guidance on their spiritual journey. The lyrics suggest that the Devil has a hold on us and that we need to stand together to fight it. The call to action is for us to join hands and stand up to the evil that is influencing our world. The message is clear – there is a way out for those who seek it. Even if you are not a believer in the Almighty, it's never too late to confess your sins and turn your life around.
Overall, "Where Are You?" is a powerful and emotive song that speaks to the journey of life that we are all on. It is a call to those who are lost and in need of guidance, a plea to come together and fight against the darkness that is all around us.

Summer of '87 this was playing in the clubs in Ibiza and I loved it. Never heard it played in the UK, even my 12" vinyl copy is an import.
