My favorite is the S&W model 48 with the 8 3/8" barrel. I would put my mod 48 no dash up against any of the ones mentioned for accuracy, but it only holds 6 rounds,....and it's made on the k frame and very sexy.

@Scotty S No interchangeable cylinders. The 942 is available in either .22LR or .22WMR.

It is amazing how Taurus knows how to fk itself. The 942 would have been a hot seller, but Taurus did not produce nearly enough for the market and I don't know when we'll see more. It wouldn't make sense to start production in 2019 and only make it for a year.

I had been looking for a 942 for some time....like a lot of other people. Walked into a gun store looking for something else and spotted a 941 in the used gun shelf. I bought it without hesitation. I hadn't even heard about a 941! For sure, Taurus does a poor job of marketing their products.
It's essentially the same gun with the difference being the rear sight which will adjust for windage as well as elevation. It's got a 2" barrel which translates who needs all that adjusting. Most folks won't hit anything further than 20 yards anyway.
The gun was like new and whomever bought it, most likely didn't like it. I got it for less than 300 dollars including tax. It's like new. I found it had not been cleaned very well so it got a good cleaning and I took it to the range.
Set a target up at 10 yards and scored everything within six inches. I am well satisfied. The weapon is a blued version and appears to be almost new. I feel that I got very lucky. Incidentally, the little sucker is very loud.

@Nick Liberto if you get a newer model 941 that was made in 2014/2015 you got something decent. If it was an older model, old grips, old sights, you can tell by taking off side plate too, they are 50/50 if you get a good one or not. A lot of pre 2015 taurus had issues mainly with staying in time.
