2 Minutos Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
The singer of 2 Minutos's song Ticket is having a rough day; he's feeling unwell, but he's not trying to hurt anyone. He expresses the wish to let the person he is addressing know that things can get better. The words "y ahora es tu decision" ("and now it's your decision") seem to imply that the addressee has some agency in their shared situation, and perhaps that the singer is looking for support.
The chorus features the line "Solo soy un tipo enfermo en la ciudad" ("I'm just a sick guy in the city"), which suggests that the singer is struggling with some kind of illness or ailment. He stresses that his intention is not to hurt anyone, and that he only has one ticket to the moon. The repeated "la luna" seems to imply a desire to escape, as the moon is often seen as a far-off and unreachable destination.
The song's lyrics can be interpreted in a number of ways, but there is a clear sense of someone who is struggling and wants to reach out for help. It's possible that the singer is dealing with mental health issues, as the theme of wanting to escape to the moon could be seen as a desire to retreat from the world. Overall, the song conveys a sense of vulnerability and fragility.
