Figure it for myself
Now I have no doubt
What it looks like in hell
Nights of remission
Are lived in quite a view
Let's light the fuse quick
And see just what this thing can do
Let's just get crazy with it
Once again
Give it a spin my friend
We're gonna test the limits
Where would we be
Without the wild nights
Without the lows and highs
Failing to get it right
Where would we be
Without the wild nights
Barely getting by
The days of getting high
Whoa oh oh
Spinning with the rhythm
In this world we'll bring
DJ's and Friday nights
And all the mornings uh
I want to live a little
And no it's not a riddle
And your attention yeah
I will need a little
Take it up when we hear the stage
Rocking Boba Fett just how we wage
Been apart for months and days
But what's in the clouds
Well it's just haze
Let's just get crazy with it
Once again
Give it a spin my friend
We're gonna test the limits
Where would we be
Without the wild nights
Without the lows and highs
Failing to get it right
Where would we be
Without the wild nights
Barely getting by
The days of getting high
Whoa oh oh, Whoa oh oh
Whoa oh oh, Whoa oh oh
Whoa oh oh, Whoa oh oh
Whoa oh oh, Whoa oh oh
Where would we be
Without the wild nights
Without the lows and highs
Failing to get it right
Where would we be
Without the wild nights
Barely getting by
The days of getting high
Whoa oh oh, Whoa oh oh
Whoa oh oh, Whoa oh oh
Whoa oh oh, Whoa oh oh
Whoa oh oh, Whoa oh oh
The lyrics of 311's song, Wild Nights, express a celebration of the ups and downs of life. The singer reflects on the importance of experiencing "wild nights" and embracing both the highs and lows that come with it. The persona of the song reveals that he had to figure out things for himself and has now come to accept what it looks like in hell. These struggles, however, are what make the good moments all the more sweet. The singer believes that it is necessary to embrace the wild nights and live life to the fullest, enjoying the rhythm and celebrating with others.
The line, "DJ's and Friday nights, and all the mornings uh" shows the singer's desire to live his life with a sense of freedom and spontaneity. The lyrics suggest that moments of celebration, like wild nights, can create lasting and memorable experiences with friends. The song’s upbeat tempo evokes a sense of excitement, and the lyrics express a desire to take risks and push limits. Overall, the singer argues that without these wild nights, we would not have had the chance to experience certain things and grow as individuals.

I am a huge 311 fan myself. It's like either you get 311 or you don't. What I really love about them is that no two albums sound alike and you can't put them into one genre. Nick is great song writer. SA's vocals and onstage energy are mind blowing. P-nut and Chad make for an amazing rhythm section. P-nut is one of my top 3 fav. bassists and chad is one of my top 3 fav. drummers. and Tim is such an underrated guitar player. And you just can't beat the energy of 311's live shows.
